  1. I can just imagine Beckham having a 2nd year similar to that of Jody Gerut and this board going in flames.
  2. QUOTE (joeynach @ Feb 19, 2010 -> 03:53 PM) I think its pretty obvious that this is the direction the organization is heading After it fails horribly during first half of this season you can see a big bopper acquired sometime this season already.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 19, 2010 -> 08:48 AM) LOL no. That thread was one of the top threads last year. I meant because of one being an actual sport and the other not
  4. You would think UFC should be sticked over the WWF and TNA thread lol but people post often enough to keep this thread up towards the top anyways.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 12:51 AM) What? That backcourt has been a HUGE clusterf*** since Martin got back from injury. Now they probably sign Boozer. What was cluster f***ed about it, Evans is the pg and Martin the SG. It gave them a tall, athletic, high scoring back court.
  6. I would be incredibly pissed if I was a Sacramento fan. The Kings one strength was their back-court and now that is messed up for a role player in Landry and half a season of T-Mac.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 12:22 PM) Except for maybe Beckham, Damon would sell as many tickets as any White Sox player. Im so sick of this crap, no player in mlb is going to draw fans solely on their name with the exception of Ichiro because he brings in the Japanese population. The only thing that will bring in fans otherwise is winning.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 10:14 PM) When I was there, the rec center was unintentionally segregated. Us white boys playes on the courts on the left. Everytime I went to the right, they would never let me play even though I was better than most of them. The last day of finals before graduation I went to play and nobody was on the left courts so I wandered over to the right and a court needed one so I got to play. I used it as my national title game and killed it. The other team was yelling at teh guy guarding me cuz I scored 8 of our 11 points, including the game winner in my last rec game there and I walked off into the sunset. You know I havent been making it out there often but I think it still is that way, it was like that in my community college(Harper) in the A building the bottom were all the African Americans and uptop white nerds lol. I always go by the method since Im brown I can fit in either way but since I havent played bball in a LONG time I might stick to the left side of the gym first
  9. If he knows about the 2 ticket policy for people of his stature I don't think he should be making a big fuss, your own fault for trying to save a quick buck. Next time get two tickets or lose some damn weight.
  10. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 09:41 PM) If it were about championships, he'd probably stay with Cleveland. I'd disagree that the Bulls are way better than Cleveland without Lebron also. Cleveland has more depth, especially in the frontcourt, although obviously Rose is the best player from either squad (cue the Cavs saying Mo Williams is UNDERRATED!!! again). They also have a much better head coach, although I'd be interested to see who the Bulls could get (won't be George Karl unfortunately Jason as he re-signed with the Nuggets for a further season the other day IIRC). Right now Id say Rose, Deng, and Noah are all better than anyone on that team outside of Lebron. Depth is nice and all but in playoffs you only go 6-7 deep anyways and that starting roster would have no prob getting to playoffs.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 08:16 PM) We can definitely do that. Let me know. If you both play in the rec center Ill wipe the floor with both of you
  12. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 07:40 AM) http://espn.go.com/blog/TrueHoop/post/_/id...possible-future That would be "ok" for me as a Heat fan. But I still think it's going to be Bosh and Wade in Miami next year. Id prefer its Bosh and Wade in Chicago next year

    i am drunk

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 14, 2010 -> 06:17 AM) Well I'm starting to sober up but this is the 2nd straight week I almost beat the s*** out of my roommate, the only reason I haven't is because he is my roommate. Anywho, I ain't got s*** to do tomorrow so I think it's time to start drinking again. Whose with me? Thank god my roomate moved out and I got a single this year, although my suitemate is starting to get on my nerves now.

    Celebrity Crush

This thread sucks, nobody reads the crush that nobody else has part of it.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 01:24 AM) It's 2010. Geographics don't matter, especially when there's talk of a football only move. If the Big Ten is going to make a move, it's going to be for a home run. Missouri and Pittsburgh are far from that and don't really provide any new revenue streams (other than the ability for a championship game). I think people get confuse over thinking this is a move to get a championship football game. It's not that more than it is expanding the Big Ten brand (and network). Well right now the big ten has an odd number of teams, so it would only make sense for them to add either 1 or 3 teams. If its 3, I think Pittsburgh would be almost a must as well as Syracuse. I know its a shot in the dark but if Texas isnt a real option TCU is also a team Id look at.
  17. I think Pitt, Syracuse, and Missouri would all be solid additions in rounding up the big ten, all competitive schools. Obviously Texas/Notre Dame would both be better candidates but I dont think either are reasonable.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 09:48 PM) For the crappy winter Olympics? Booooooo! I take your beer away as punishment!! Only real sports deserved to be pinned
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 10, 2010 -> 07:08 PM) The actual value for Lee was terrible and people here will tell you exactly that, and said exactly that at the time. The caveat was always what the money would be spent on, because it freed up about $8 million. It was spent well. Which still irks me a bit when people call it such a great trade, I understand the cutting costs was a big reason for the trade but Carlos Lee was a good player if KW wanted he could of got more value for him. In the end the Whitesox won the World Series so I guess no reason to make a fuss about it though.
  20. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 08:49 PM) It was nice to see them pull it off in the 4th quarter because for the first three quarters it wasn't lookin' too good. Pretty sure they had the lead after the 1st quarter as well? The 2 quarters Deng showed up the Bulls couldnt be stopped offensively.
  21. Wow have the Illini turned around their season, McCamey is playing out of his mind... him and Turner are both pretty remarkable right now.
  22. The illini made a comeback and almost tied it up at half time, hopefully the momentum carries on to the 2nd half and they steal this one. McCamey is a badass
  23. Was going to watch the illini game on justin.tv but a moment after the tip off the feed died, kinda dissapointing.
  24. Im fairly positive White Sox are going to be drafting pitching heavy this upcoming draft which I absolutely don't care for. If I was running a team pitching/hitting wouldnt come into the equation it would always be what our scouts thought was the best player available and how long will he be available.
  25. I cant believe people actually liked the half time show, the lights looked cool and all but I thought they were horrible!
