I watched on MLB.tv and he threw every pitch in his arsenal in the 1st inning alone. Anyone else who saw the game could back me up on this.

Even if you are working mainly on one pitch, which he wasn't, you should be showing good command of it. Yesterday Floyd threw almost as many balls as he did strikes. Even when he was in the zone, he was missing his spots too often and getting hit hard. I'm a big fan of Floyd but yesterday's start was frustrating for me to watch.

I saw them a couple years back and the energy at the show was awesome. How was Tom's voice? No Blink songs? They usually do one

I'm not saying give up on Richar or don't explore the option of Alexei at 2B, but Ellis is the best defensive 2B in baseball and has a career 100 OPS+. So I could see it being a win-now but also think about the future move depending on what the A's want for the guy.
