  1. Might see Bart today also but he's much better against RHP so reverse splits this year.
  2. Gigantor, anyone remember ? Was early Japanese anime on WGN show Rocket To Adventure hosted by Ray Rayner wearing an astronaut suit. If I had remembered this earlier I would've called Murakami Gigantor !
  3. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€For Doyle and the White Sox
  4. Demon Sox vs Angelic Sox
  5. Ray Ray the Robot doesn't have time for injuries and personal problems. It's easy to be skeptical. Hope is seeing light in darkness and letting the light heal. Human beings understand that life and baseball reflect growing from failures.
  6. Clearly the article said the "crushing it" came in the 2nd half of 2025. Any idiot can look up the 2nd half stats on baseball Reference that will show that 56 game period they talked about which included a scorching hot August and bad September. I guess any idiot can't read though. You take yourself a little too seriously being the contrarian and the holder of such high standards that you feel the need to set everyone straight while making it sound like the article included his struggles in 2026 .
  7. Hopefully Doyle can use that big boy body ( 6'3" 223 ) and start crushing a few bombs again. Just need a little luck of the Irish ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ€, along with wizardry and Pope power.
  8. Don't think that's possible to make everyone right but it's a lovely thought.
  9. Red Sox fresh off a 3 game sweep of the Dodgers in Dodger's Stadium. Still red hot. Hoping for a statement series for the White Sox that shows we can do to the Red Sox what we did the the Rays. Sox were early victims of the 15 game win streak and got swept. Before their blistering 28-5 run that began on June 25, 2026, the Boston Red Sox had a record of 32-46. The last time the White Sox had a winning streak longer than 3 games was in mid-May , when they won 5 in a row. So while the Sox have yet to lose 4 in a row they also don't often win 4 in a row. They've been very consistently playing barely above .500 for a few months, hovering between 4-7 games above .500. Winning 2 of the 3 would get us to a high water mark of 8 above.
  10. It's more surplus value but that depends entirely on how they perform the rest of the season to know if they are viable options for 2027 and beyond. Turning Castillo around can be the most likely strength but also the biggest bust. Don't have much hope of Brazoban performing well into his late 30's or Bart being anything more than Teel's backup next year. Doyle has to rebound also, maybe not this year, but definitely next year when he turns 29 in May. Otherwise he's just another AAAA guy.
  11. No rentals Sox have to get innings and quality from Castillo. Brazoban only player acquired that's a clear upgrade, can't regress Bart upgrade defensively and offensively but only because Quero was so obscenely bad. Doyle 28 older project but great defensively but added to clusterfuck of RHH OF which led to the Pereira DFA who despite his injuries had upside and a lot of service time left but no options . Leaning a bit too much on age and coaching staff . C-
  12. Luis Castillo 33 years old: 2026, 2027 and vesting option for 2028 Huascar Brazoban 36 years old :2026, 2027 ,2028, 2029 Joey Bart 29 years old : 2026 , 2027 Brenton Doyle 28 years old 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 Seems clear the Sox weren't interested in giving up anything for rentals.
  13. No Robbie Ray of sunshine
  14. Between the active guys and guys injured the Dodgers have two 5 man starting rotations. They not only didn't trade Lauer but also traded for Bubic. Active Skubal Yamamoto Sasaki Wrobleski Lauer Sheehan Status Unknown Ohtani Injured Snell Glasnow Bubic
  15. Eric Lauer (Dodgers)
  16. Pereira plays CF too but last time he did he concussed himself.
  17. Big pieces moving, Ray, Detmers, Liam Hicks ! OK not Detmers yet lol
  18. That didn't stop them from getting best bat available with Luis Garcia, Jr.. Yankees like lefties in Yankees stadium. They can take some of our RHH off our hands even though our RHH lineup doesn't produce enough either.
  19. Liam Hicks? Too expensive for Yankees ? Unlikely to be moved ? Marlins pretty quiet so far.
  20. Doyle has a Trout like body but not sure he has the speed he used to, doesn't take walks and only hit 1 HR this year in over 129 PA. 1 good year in 2024 then hasn't adjusted to how he's been pitched. He's a project.
  21. Would be an odd add. Still have Pereira, Hays, Grichuk all RH unless its minor league defensive depth in case Peters continues his slide . Better late inning defense than Pereira , strong arm.
  22. Good defender. Inflated HR totals . Definitely not an OBP guy . Don't see a pressing need .
  23. I thought he was a hockey player.
