Most fanatics all have one thing in common wether its sports or religion. They place blame. Thats what separates the angry fan from the non angry fan. I will readily admit I am ignorant enough of the inner workings of the team so I don't pass judgement on them. The money the man at the top decides to spend or not spend affects every decision the organization makes. You may question Getz, team physicians and coaches and make things up , have outlandish theories to put the blame someplace . You will not admit that your ignorance prevents you from seeing the whole picture and in fact you see very little. Just like you can say a person getting a few posts deleted is not being persecuted. Im not being persectued . I and others are being treated unfairly or censored. If you read the tread at all you have seen others speak up about being accused of gaslighting. How often is Gregg775 called a troll ? How often has Caulfield been made fun of . I feel that if there are going to be posts censored or deleted there must be some kind of due process and those decisions should not be made by one mod who routinely treats peiple poorly. I have seen this behavior for over 20 years. I dont like bringing other pisters name into this but Im sure our resident medical expert Ptatc who used to be universally respected on this website for his medical knowledge has seen how things have regressed and he has felt the sting for his open and objective opinions for just the enjoyment of the game. I understand the nature of sports produces fanatical behavior but I also feel a mod must divorce himself from his fanaticism and let it cloud his judgement on being fair. Isn't that what a moderator is supposed to be above all else when you sit in a position of power ? If posts get censored shouldn't it be a group decision and perhaps a message sent to the alleged offender who should have a chance to defend himself and point of incidents of inconsistencies in passing out punishments ? Im trying to be as level headed about this as possible. You dont think I know its an uphill battle when people like you just chime in with OMG you're not being persecuted, basically telling me I'm paranoid. If one mod can decide all by himself to censor and delete posts because I fight back against the overwhelming tide of ignorant fanaticism then how does one actually stop religious persecution, racism, sexism, ageism, nazism, genocide before it spreads ? History shows these injustice starts with oppression on a smaller scale. I know this is a small world here at Soxtalk but if there is going to be a system of laws here I'd like there to be a fair process to it, not a bunch of voices from the peanut gallery with no knowledge of the situation passing judgement because they are angry fans too. I'll lighten up when you all do. I'm not the one starting threads that say I'm getting tired of the bar of enjoyment of the team being set so low. If that was me starting a thread that said Im getting tired of how the majority of fans are a little too fanatical about calling for heads to roll I think it would have been shut down or Id be called a troll for making the majority angry by deliberately stirring the pot of fan angst.

All you have to do is read my posts. Look how I treat people outside of a few run ins with the whole Siths and Jedis issues. I talk baseball. I post stats to keep others aware of the progress of the young players. I compliment people . I hand out positive emojis like candy. Then look at the guy who speaks in generalities about my behavior towards people. How can there be an outcry if no one notices the posts are gone ?Heck once they disappear you don't have any proof they existed. The only person to sound the alarm is the person whose posts were deleted when I do speak up I get accused of having a persecution complex . You can't fight city hall. To the people in power you're a nuisance. You're Don Quixote making up imaginary foes.

My posts don't attack anyone. I dont want to bore everyone fighting in public. Im a nice person . I dont make fun of posters whose posts contain a lot of names or call other posters trolls . These guys are some of the nicest people on Soxtalk. But they are considered eccentric . If being different means were allowed to make fun of them and laugh at them then Im not dealing with grownups. Im dealing with children who used to make fun of the kid that limps from childhood illnesses or the fat kids all while pretending to be a human rights activist. Actions speak louder than words. I guess our moderator is just so magnamimous that because Im so bad to everyone that they just let it slide. I did get a warning though once for calling someone Captain Obvious . I never tell people their posts are stupid like many do. I try not to use trigger words . I dont yell at people to piss off like a mod did to me just because I like sticking up for the young players . JR I always criticize but I have patience for any GM working for him now. I do not have patience for liars and bullies. There is censorship here going on if you happen to be on the wrong side of the majority who are sick of pretty much everything White Sox enough to make up phony scenarios in which our pitching coaches are either hurting pitchers arms or neglecting them to hurt development. I've seen both theories tossed about willy nilly without any thing to substantiate them except alot of arms needed Tommy John surgery and the Sox have pitching coaches. That's it ,someone has to be blamed. It's asisine yet because I and others have fun and enjoy the product on the field it makes me some kind of rube. makes me and others a target while they have the nerve to tell me Im mean ? My whole argument is based on why are you all so mean? Why so hateful especially when we'll have a very rich owners soon enough ? But Im not supposed to say anything because Im outnumbered and that makes me wrong . Imagine if Caulfield or Greg775 started fighting back for every time our intrepid persecuted mod made fun of them. Im a fucking saint compared to him . If the only reasons you come to Soxtalk is to insult people in the organization, put down players, coaches, front office people etc. I think thats more an indication of anger management issues than I ever display.

Doesnt really matter how you think Baltimore wouldve done with Cease I dont think you can say with any amount of real conviction that his SD numbers wouldve been the same in Baltimore . Whole new situation and who knows what happens in a different dynamic. If the Sox had brought Vaughn back up would he have done the same as hes done in Milwaukee ? As a Sox fan, however illogical it us, I want the other teams who dont want our guys to do badly while Robert, Jr. proves his worth . I want Getz to email all the other teams this off season with a highlight reel of defensive, baserunning and offensive moments along with the stats of whenever it was Robert started hitting again along with a detailed analysis of any changes he made to get to where hes at now. Pretty sure the leg kick was drastically reduced. He's been doing well for about 9 or 10 weeks now.

Great post . I read the part about Inside edge thinking the Sox are doing something right this year but I cant figure out what youre referring to or what the numbers represent. Perhaps you can give a link. Seems like it has something to do with ranking production from transactions by your description but Id like to know for sure instead of having to guess.

Im pretty sure the option is being picked up. Of course we wont know for sure until it happens. If JR fires Getz it could be because he didnt get rid of Robert's contract and JR will tell his new puppet to refuse the option. Hopefully Getz has already discussed this with JR or else keeping Robert at the TDL wouldnt have been an option. Getz basically told the rest of the GMs in baseball to f... Off. Im kinda glad about it. Glad the Mets slumped because Getz wouldnt accept a lowball offer. Same way I'm glad Baltimore will not make the playoffs this year because they wouldnt pony up for Cease. People at the beginning of the year figured the Sox for 110 losses this year and another 100 loss season in 2026. Theres a chance they dont lose 100 this year or next year and Robert might have a lot to do with that unless hes traded this off season. Since the All Star break and thats 30 games now the Sox have 9 hitters with a wRC+ over 100. There's been a little debate about if the Sox can get to 70 wins next year. The normal response is not a chance. There will be regression . The Sox dont have 9 above average hitters. How can so many rookies be doing so good ? Sophomore slumps upcoming. But what if the Colson Montgomery we see now plays a whole season instead of whatever he ends up playing, a little less than half a season ? What if Baldwin, Sosa, Vargas , Quero, Teel, Robert, Montgomery can maintain or even improve on what they have been doing since the All Star break ? While the young pitching prospects all pretty much took a turn for the worse with injuries and inconsistent performance the Sox have been tremendous with pulling pitching out of thin air this year while it seems like the Sox have 1 new arm every other week. Our #1 starter was a nobody prospect last year that the Brewers just let the Sox take. Vasil has been valuable even if his WAR doesnt reflect it that much just in being able to fill mutiple roles as the Swiss Army knife of the staff. People were very concerned the Sox would operate this year without their 2 best starting pitchers from 2024 and a crop of dumpster dive relievers . Point is a lot has gone right this year and still a good chance they lose 100 games again so next year to avoid 100 , the best thing to do is avoid the shitty April record. No more 5 win months.

He deserves a long look. The guy can hit the longball on mistakes for sure. He can end up being a good OF. They could use more power and speed and another switch hitter.

There was Sosa trade talk on the Future Sox podcast by James Fox. Just idle speculation though like a 3 for 1 trade to get a serious legit LH Outfielder or something. I just remember Sosa , a Starting pitcher and relief pitcher mentioned for 1 guy. Cant remember if any name was mentioned for the return piece.

You could see it coming .He ended 2024 on a hot streak , tore up the Venezuelan Winter League or was it the Dominican ? Then it was perform or you're out and he's kept it up . Me and @chitownsportsfan been his big rooters at least in the gamethreads .
