QUOTE (Real @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:01 PM) 9-3-2012, the start of the downward spiral I thought it was 8-19-12 when we got swept by the Royals? Not gonna jump off the ledge til next week this time... -

QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 02:25 PM) Dunn's got an owie. Dan Johnson at DH right oblique strain. Remember seeing when he did it in that long at bat...

QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 30, 2012 -> 11:31 AM) Pick up a starter KW. We are gonna need one And all starts with 2 outs giving up a homer to a .111 hitter. Jesus. -
Flowers and Meyers were pimpin' pretty good too...and Sale's shoes...good lord.

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 26, 2012 -> 06:08 PM) I know they say it's in the umps hands, but I have to wonder if the Tigers are calling the league and b****ing right now. f*** the tigers....

Harrelson's rant front page ESPN news again...suspension pending?
Wanne replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
And frankly, sports fans, he used a word that's a no-no with umpires...I think AJ called him a c#c&$ucker! Regardless...that zone was brutal. I love Hawk's rants btw...but saying that hawk was implying there was a fix in is a little inane. He was insinuating he was terrible..... -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 25, 2012 -> 09:51 AM) Mark Grace to take a leave of absence after his second recent DUI He got pulled over for expired tags...obviously Grace isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

I love when Gordo goes oppo..

you gotta be s***tin' me. Rios ripped that...

Like to know how many wins Youk has accounted for so far...gotta be at least 6.

That dinger Flowers hit was ridiculous. He hit it and Whimpy just said, "oh my..." God I wish he was back in the booth all the time with the Sox....

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 15, 2012 -> 02:12 PM) It's not unfair to think something's up. The guy is putting up career numbers in a contract year at 35. I hope not, but who knows what these guys do. I'm sure the Sox aren't immune. AJ's testosterone is all natural...he's a man's man...he oozes testosterone.

I guess the thing is is Jordan's arrow is pointing up....Wheezy's is down. If you can send Jordan down to get him everyday at bats for a few weeks I guess that's not a bad thing. He'll be up soon enough. If this was like a permanent roster spot I really don't see how you'd take Wise over Danks tho...
-
go the other way gordo...
-
Thornton should have been dealt before the deadline while you could still get SOMETHING for him at least. I just don't trust him no matter what the situation is...
-
I hate the entire first 5 on that list...and then I hate the Royals every time we play them. I hate Baltimore when we play them...and Toronto. I can't stand any AL West team. Not a big fan of Philly. The rest...meh.

QUOTE (scenario @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) Saw Jordan Danks in the AFL a few years back. Was surprised how big he is. Built like an NBA player. Couldn't be happier for Jordan right now. Not sure if you got a chance to talk with him scenario at AFL...but he was always one of the friendliest, down to earth people out there who would always take the time to genuinely talk with you. And if he had an 0-fer for the day...he'd wear it on his shoulder. Last night couldn't happen to a better kid. And yeah...he does look more like a basketball player.

QUOTE (pktmotion @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:19 PM) The Sox have a ton of decisions to make this offseason... Peavy, Liriano, Youkilis, Myers, Hudson - all could potentially be free agents (Personally think they keep Youk and Peavy) or do you capitalize on high market value and trade Rios or Dunn? Do you part ways with Danks or Floyd? (I think if they keep one of Liriano or Peavy; they lose Danks or Floyd) Is Beckham around next year? or do you package him for a pitcher? There a ton of uncertainty for 2013 but KW has decisions; and ironically those are the times where he performs his best work. And also should make for a very fun & busy offseason to follow. I think Kenny will do his best to move Dunn. Rios...depends on the return you'd get. I know it won't happen...but gauge interest in Paulie. I REEEALLY want Youk back tho. Somebody will offer Peavy too much quiche IMO... Liriano is a no brainer I think. I think Beckham and Floyd will be dealt. And if you want my personal opinion I'd ask the BoSox about Pedroia...seems they're pretty high on Ciriaco (sp?). But 3B is a complete black hole right now without Youk. You can't count on Morel...

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) Great win, but the Chris Perez implosion still pisses me off. He won't have to worry about begging fans to come. This...Indians are f***in' worthless. Great win tho!!!

I'm taking any comments from the Boston Globe in regards to Youk with a huge grain of salt...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....FU Camera man!!

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 07:20 PM) Poor Paul....looks lost at the plate. What an up-and-down season for him. Looks like he's guessing up there...instead of Rios...attacking.
