The leagues need to understand that fantasy leagues create interest thus dollars for the leagues and the teams. Even the teflon nfl couldn't absorb a pr hit like this.
Yeah I don't think that people really listen to senior citizens and Feller and Babs Bush are why! Seriously, you hear racist comments and nonsensical ramblings at family parties from your older aunts and uncles and your grandparents and you just uncomfortably nod and try to change the subject. Kind of one of those deals here.
Yeah I don't think his season is over and I just don;t get why so many people (a lot of pundits too) take satisfaction in Griffey's injuries. Griffey plays hard and he will be back if he can be this year. You are right about that injury not happening if he was here. Some injuries are goign to happen no matter where (Jaret Wright's was one which probably would have happened here) but there are many others like Scott Rolen or Roy Halladay where they are just because of a particular circumstance.
That's why I like Frank. He's probaby not a nice guy. He is 70 years old and he hit 586 homers. He doesn't give a damn what anybody thinks. Kind of cool

Hmmm, I see a trend here. Maybe someone who is very important to the offense being out was the main reason for the skid the Sox went on in August?
sorry dam that can't be the reason. some soxtalk posters say he's overrated so DOUBT he's the reason......
I am surprised more didn't pick the guy with the higher obp. I thought average would be easier to bring up wheras if you don't walk, you don;'t walk. Pudge's bizarre six walk season has been uderreported. very odd.
I just wanted to mention that if I ran the world we'd see games like King Felix vs. The Big Unit on Espn or Espn2. I imagine Directv people are getting it as an alternate but I'm not getting it at school.
El Duque deserves a golden shower for todays game. Thankfully the West race isn't between the A's and Rangers because that'd be two teams we can't beat
If we would have offered him more than three years with undeferred money then we might have him. It was probably a decent financial move to let him go but its not like we were in the same ballpark with the Angels offer.
Rex Hudler isn't bad. His drug thing a few years ago will probably keep him from ever advancing to the network or anything but he's pretty decent I think
I'd love to see him play in October. He had a bad rehab assignment and hten came in and smoked the ball. This guy can wake up on January 15th and hit. If his foot will allow him, he will swing the bat fine. He's a great trump card to have as a pinch-hitter. Will he be able to run the bases a little though. That has to be the concern.
If guys like Hollandsworth and Lawton are getting moved, it'd be nice if we could acquire a comparable player in the next day. I know they would have little interestin dealing with us but Lawton would have been a nice stopgap for us. Hopefully we can add another bat, even not a premium one.
Bartolo is definitely the CY leader. I'd rank them Colon, Santana, Buehrle, Garland at this point. Also, I wanted to mention BIG MO deserves some dap. He's playing great for the Padres and contributed again tonight
Definitely huge when in the context that this team beat him up earlier this year. Great to see. I would agree with some others that a six-man rotation until the playoffs is the way to go
