dang did everyone really already play?

I don't see the problem here

this is what I'm saying guys he's basically a hostage who sold his soul for the position and can't get out and just has to sit and watch how bad he is at it. Like that simpsons episode where Homer goes to the pilot bar and gets forced to fly the air craft, except after he crashes it the owner of the air craft company says he's doing great and to keep flying

Are the 2023 White Sox the worst Sox team you've ever seen?
bmags replied to joejoesox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
2009 at least had that sweet 27-10 run and buerhles perfect game. Then just a forgettable august/sept which was the typical kw team . 2001 really sucked, and it had the david wells crap so yeah that was rough. -

This is definitely the worst because I have no hope for this core bouncing back or this org doing a rebuild. There is nothing here. I'm putting my fandom eggs in the bears, and that is the bleakest statement in the world, just behind "i'm putting my fandom eggs in the white sox" -
It's just so wild to me how consistently bad Hahn's teams end up. Look up north at the cubs. They have put together so many dominant defensive teams - which people rarely credit them with. But they value it, even finding a great position for Happ. The Cards the same. The Twins org has prioritized power, and never stopped. ANd have gotten some premiere power teams and it looks like the case again. CLE has prioritized their pitching excellence supplementing it with strong defense and just enough offense from some superstar finds. Hahn for the last decade has put teams on the field who are below average on defense, poor at getting on base, and slow. And the 2 years it was different it had strong power, which they consistently deprioritize for budget. He is just so so so bad. The sox are so far behind as an org that swapping him out does nothing, but he in particular is just so bad at this job.

And people mocked me for my departed post

Loser org

ugh and this is the one franchise where it's like an improvement.

One perennial playoff team, one recent WS winner, and the Chicago White Sox.

Cease, Colson, Ramos, Schulz, Mena

I think you were referring to Click not Luhnow, but still I'd group Tampa Rays guys as finance owner picks.
-
I'm skeptical. JR hates the finance owners, and luhnow is a finance owner kinda guy. Luhnow is a "find market inefficiencies" guy, JR is a sit back, do nothing, extract rents, complain about paying taxes on your rents kinda guy.

No point in being a fan of a team surrounding good players with 35 year old second baseman who were DFAd. This will be a dormant period until the team passes hands. As such, best of luck to Colson Montgomery on the Las Vegas As.
-
I 100% think though that the players on the team reflect the same attitude in the front office. The players and front office can all say the right things and identify the problems. But when the front office does not maximize resource they have toward winning, indeed the opposite, the players don't feel any pressure either. When Hahn switched to rebuild, the entire org should have switched full throttle to player dev and scouting. Maybe hahn feels they did, but full throttle for career sox employees is not full throttle for other orgs. Hahn is capable of catching up to where other teams were 5 years ago, and then he rests on his laurels that they did so much. He'll never do enough because he's lazy and entitled.

In this case, we are not using it as a euphemism for putting them down.
-
yeah...for me ...there is just no point. I like the minors in depth because I appreciate how freaking hard it is to get to the majors and I get enjoyment out of the possibility of a guy like Remillard making a day or two up. But if Colson succeeds and is awesome and comes up and plays on a mid-70 win sox team for his career, I will not enjoy it. I'd rather they trade him and send him to happiness. Like sometimes people get a great dog, but realize that dog needs what you can't provide them. A yard, love, whatever. Kibble isn't enough. Send them to a farm where they can be happy.

Highest chase rate in the MLB with the worse bullpen in MLB

Hard to unwind. I'm sure that was difficult. It's 19 games. This isn't the first small game sample Benintendi has collected with a high ground ball rate. -

We wait until they struggle, which for Robert didn’t really happen. But it’s why they thought our last HC was good, he got high swing and miss players to drums contact. They just sacrificed all power and patience for it. Hard to unwise this stuff. -

Exactly what you want with a slappy single team
