  1. I don't know if it's interesting but it does seem like Grady Jarrett became less awesome when Dan Quinn left. From my very limited research, Ryan Nielson was running probably similar stuff, not like he was converted to 3-4, but I do wonder if Dennis Allen has an idea of what will work best for Jarrett.
  2. I think that stuff always changes. And I think we definitely are on a fulcrum where the defensive line and linebackers started to get so much lighter in order to be better at coverage that larger lineman/elite RBs are pressing the advantage. You saw Mcvay try to build a huge set of lineman last year. Detroit has, and obviously Philly. Despite that, that's not the only way. Obviously a team like Washington was built more on lateral speed and an incredible mobile QB. Whatever the KC offense was. But the lesson is probably always going to be "there is more than one way". The more a rule becomes standard in the nfl, the more the opportunity to take that elite guy gives you an advantage. I don't want Jeanty. In fact I think I keep saying it but I think the pick that could very well happen and make people crazy is Johnson pushing for Tyler Warren.
  3. I will be so happy if we can even consider Jeanty with the work down before it. That said...I don't think Jeanty gets past the raiders.
  4. Schneider deserves benefit of doubt, but I think it makes zero sense to trade out geno, only to sign darnold for more. And he’s worse.
  5. Matt Bowen on Hoge & Jahns soured me a little on Johnson. Hampton I would doubt makes it. I think I've grown most toward Henderson. For as much as fans make fun of Skattebo...I do wonder if the coach that wanted David Montgomery wouldn't find him appealing.
  6. I think the issue isn't "those teams prefer CBs/LBs" as much as those teams are taking the top players left end of round 1, which happen to be usually LB1 or still good CBs.
  7. I'm not huge fans of this kind of analysis. 2/5 of those elite teams taking a RB is actually better than I thought, and notice Bills took James Cook in round 2, AJ Dillon was a 2nd round back. You are also anti 2nd round. Bears haven't taken a RB in first two round since Forte, I think? And bears have been garbage the last decade. Maybe we should.
  8. I think he’ll be first tackle taken and be gone before we pick.
  9. That would be the most interesting option.
  10. *I could definitely see a DT or a 'OL' that may be a tackle tweener
  11. I don't at all. I do think one of the 2nd rounders is likely though. It's going to be edge or OT...if there's a "non positional value" pick that would make people crosseyed I'd put it on Tyler Warren
  12. Please, I’ve listened to around the clubhouse a bunch. I just internalized JR loving baseball the way Kathy bates loved James caan in misery. And uh…what she loved from James caan was his ability to keep labor costs low I guess. It’s a good analogy. Sledgehammer scene
  13. Agreed. But I also don’t understand owning a baseball team - the coolest thing in the world - and just treating it as joylessly as JR has. I’m on egg shells until we can really hear of a transition plan.
  14. I guess I’m saying that this Sean guy is using reporting of Greenberg and Hayes to grant his bullshit legitimacy. He may be right but I think he’s full of it.
  15. I was sent this… but so annoyed by it. Did Greenberg ever say this? f*** this Sean Anderson guy
  16. I think they'll extend him and get his cost down for this year.
  17. I think it was Greenberg's article which included hayes, as well.
  18. Who cares they have a rookie QB they can afford that. It’s nfl contracts. Thuney is great. The FA guards are ass, this lets them try to find guards thru draft / converting Kiran
  19. Turning point the last two nights?
  20. Did he confirm Melody Hobson's 30% from caulfield
  21. What has Davis martins stuff looked like so far this spring?
  22. Would kill for an enterprising young poster to fake that they have an inside source at mlb and feed us bullshit and tide us over.
  23. Do we think we’ll get a follow up from Greenberg on what happened Friday? That was the deadline right?
