  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 22, 2010 -> 10:33 PM) I've heard them say 1 thing about the fans...that the fans don't want 4 crappy preseason games and would be happier with an 18 game schedule. They're right. why would they talk about the fans. They're about as relevant as "the children" in this discussion.
  2. i'd take Angle taking questions from nevada democratic congress.
  3. there'll be a lot of s*** if congress people can't get back to their constituents. Some people view that as an important part of our democracy.
  4. your nevada teapartyin senator candidate http://www.mynews4.com/story.php?id=23466 Ah, gotta love it.
  5. does anyone really have any problem with these: Interns and Pages: $4.4 Million News and Research: $1.2 Million Travel: $1.4 Million a Month
  6. i went to pitchfork. it was fun.
  7. thank God. It sucked going from screaming how awesome Vizquel is to then screaming how s***ty Bobby is. Even f***ing threets can get the mariners out. Bobby sucks.
  8. I can honestly say at this point that I had no idea how bad this was going to be to get back under.
  9. also education might help the infected from being marginalized and harrassed.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 06:28 PM) Link. A large chunk of that cost does wind up coming from state governments. However, that's also not including the costs a city may bear if they run any sort of community health clinics as well. not to mention what an AIDS epidemic in the city would do for it's growth.
  11. why are you bothering to argue with someone who wrote: he removed himself from serious debate when he wrote that.
  12. where testing facilities are, where you can go for help if you have AIDS, pass out free protection, offer counseling etc. A big part of the battle is getting people tested.
  13. an AIDS re-emergence isn't really something you want in your city/nation. In recessions things like this can happen.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 03:55 PM) If they know that you can get it through unprotected sex, than no amount of education is going to help. I disagree. If there is a general feeling that AIDS is something that happens "over there" or with others, educating them about how it's real and passed in your community would help.
  15. shockingly, people other than the gay community get AIDS. Specifically very poor areas and rising totals in the black community (also senior citizens).
  16. this page is pretty great.
  17. also the idea of a zoning board in the heart of NYC being scared as pretty hilarious. I'm sure there is intimidation in that room, and it isn't coming from the audience.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 04:00 PM) And again, these ads will do next to nothing to address the lack of knowledge. they also have street teams.
  19. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 01:47 PM) Although I'm sure Omar has been teaching and mentoring Alexei, sometimes players respond by just playing with better players. If you have a guy like Alexei who has a natural talent, his game can be bettered by simply playing with someone like Omar. i agree with this. when you have a player as bad as teahan to your right, it's easier to mail it in or justify that it wasn't your fault. When you have one of the greatest defensive players of the last two decades on your right, you don't want to f*** up, because you know he won't.
  20. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 03:29 PM) Show me the graph where these people are unware of how AIDS is transmitted. You can't put the f***in condom on for them. i'd like to see these poor peoples awareness in DC and Chicago of whether they still know how big of a threat HIV is.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 12:51 PM) He could be working with him in practice and giving him pointers? And maybe Alexei feels more comfortable and/or confident with Vizquel there instead of someone like Teahen or Viciedo who he feels he has to try and cover for? I really think being able to trust that the 3b next to him will get what he's supposed to get and more means that alexei has been able to completely focus on what he should be doing, not what he should be doing, plus how he needs to over for 3b.
