  1. Ok, I could not have been the only one at the game that saw him hit 91 a few times. Like I said though, I do not look at the gun that much so it might have only been a couple of times but I swear I saw him hit 91 a few times.
  2. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 04:29 PM) What is the point of these posts? Just curious. If Contreras is only throwing in the high 80's tomorrow, would you be concerned about him? A horrible outing is one thing, losing 4 MPH of velocity is another. I wouldn't be concerned at all by Freddy's outing today if he was throwing 91-93 MPH. The point is the same for when people freak out over one outing. First off at the park he did hit 91 a few times on the gun and I don't watch the gun that much so I'm not sure what he was consistantly hitting. Maybe the gun was fast at the park or maybe it was slow on the tv gun. To be honest, I'm almost 100 percent sure there was a thread exactly like this about Freddy last year where people were concerned about his velocity after one outing. Give the guy a few starts and if he's consistantly at 88 mph then everyone can start panicking, I'll bet that isn't the case though.
  3. Freddy is absolutely awful just like the rest of the team.
  4. For my last post on this sub forum, I would just like to say: I won the soxtalk yahoo league.
  5. Thanks to both teams for winning me some money.
  6. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 08:55 PM) I haven't had this game on for a second yet. Opening Day games > this NCAA Championship matchup Not when you have money galore on this game.
  7. Joakim Noah has set the record for blocks in a finals game in the first half.

    QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) Yes, they have different pictures on different pictures(parade, WS trophy, The Cell) and they dont look like the Ticketmaster tickets. The tickets are enough to become a season ticket holder this year. They're seriously awesome though.
  9. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) 530, row 8. I'll give ya a call. I'm in 529. I'll be there at about 11 as well, Brian/Steve, one of you guys give me a call when you get there.

    QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) Nope, however the PR department with the white Sox has been working on making the upper deck experience as good. Ie having the same food items and trying to replicate the experience as much as possible. Boyer says this a lot when people ask him this exact question at the Sox Fest seminars. I also remember him saying they were going to try and create some things that are unique to the upper deck. Actually, Jason is wrong I believe. With a season ticket you can go down to the lower level just not with a regular UD ticket.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 07:41 PM) A fan just threw a syringe at Barry Bonds.
  12. QUOTE(G&T @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 07:57 AM) I'll never forget that grand slam by valentine. I don't.
  13. I agree with the whole article. Well done piece.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) Anyone else notice that Marte came in and gave up the go-ahead hit today? I'm shocked.
  15. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) And gets an infield single to third in his second AB (it was tough play for Rolen, but he had it and made a horrible throw to first. Homefield advantage called it a hit though ) Does Rollins have a hit?
  16. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) And when Abe said 'Lock him up and throw away the key", I don't think it was due to the fact that Liriano is an up-and-coming pitcher on the Twins. Nice angle, but I ain't buying that for a minute. IMO dude is just another hardcore conservative. I hope that I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt it.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) Well then he's off to a s*** start, now isn't he? Ya he is, I was actually pretty disappointed with him yesterday. I expect 3 homers tomorrow.
  18. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) You mean to tell me that Thome is not gonna hit 2 home runs every game? No, he's going to hit 2 homers a game.
  19. Mike Lowell looks like he's lost 100 pounds.
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:39 PM) Rowand doubles in his first AB as a Phillie.
  21. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:27 PM) was the church parking lot open yesterday? That's the lot I always use. That's the way to go but that lot does fill up real quick.
  22. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:36 PM) Yep. Neither one needs to go. Our two best pitchers I'd say. And I would agree.
  23. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:34 PM) I'll take the innings argument, but he also only feasts off bad teams or low pressure situations. He almost always craps on himself in big games or against good teams. He's consistently good against bad teams, and he'll give us innings, but the other guys will do so as well. That 3.47 era in the playoffs last year was just horrendous.
  24. Getting rid of Buehrle or JC is just dumb imo.
  25. Happy bday boz.
