  1. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 07:05 PM) Let's not forget the Canucks rang the post twice on good scoring opportunities. We didn't lose because of bad luck. And Vancouver pretty much went into prevent mode in the 3rd.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 01:25 PM) You mean like Chris Sale, Sergio Santos, and Matt Thornton? Ah if only...
  3. If Santos hasn't been used up until that point he's got to be the next in line to be thrown out there in the 9th. Problem with that is then we're going to have a struggling reliever out there in the 7th or 8th. Hopefully these guys get their s*** together quick because this is becoming an epic disaster at this point.
  4. No Sox, Bulls or Hawks today. I'm beyond lost on what to do with myself for the night.
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 07:07 AM) I don't have any recent information, but I know some people who worked with him on projects some time ago... he had a reputation, at least when he was a bigger star, of being one of the biggest pricks to work with in Hollywood. And that's saying something. Hopefully he's come back to earth in recent years. I've heard that as well.
  6. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 02:21 AM) I started taking Muscle Milk last week and have been mixing it with chocolate milk because it tastes better than when mixing it with water... Is that okay to do (even though the directions say "mix with water")? My recommendation would be to mix it with skim milk. I take Whey but I can't do it with water as it just tastes awful so I mix it with skim milk, that way I'm still not taking on a lot of the extra bad stuff but it tastes 100 times better.
  7. I'll be the first to put down some predictions so people can yell at me: Bulls Heat Celtics Magic Bulls Heat Bulls Spurs Lakers Blazers Thunder Thunder Lakers Thunder(Those this is kind of pending on Bynum) Bulls over Thunder in 6.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 08:03 PM) Heads, trust me when I say that Anthony Booker will frustrate you like no other player. Athletic as he'll but sloppy and not a smart player. I still think under the right tutelage Anthony will shine. We'll see...
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) I really have no problem eating healthy during the week, but I'm likely going to eat unhealthy when I drink. Oh well... That about sums it up.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 06:49 PM) Booze Tacos Pizza In that order for me. Ha, we're pretty much in the same boat there, except for me it's: Booze and Pizza and then everything else. Also haven't had a slice of pizza in over a month, it's been beyond hard especially when I see some of these damn commercials but I've managed.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 01:35 PM) My weakness is my diet, good most of the time but the random sox game, or weekend totally ruins it. To get really leaned out you need to cut out booze almost 100% which is tough for any of us to do. Ya, you don't need to tell me, booze has always been my weakness, as of this Saturday it'll be a month with out it though and still got until the 30th until I even have a sip of liquor, so hoping I can get myself where I want to be by than. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) Fatty! :crying
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) Diet, diet, diet. And a s*** load of core work (not crunches) Oh ya, 'tis what I've been doing. My diet is about as perfect as can be at this point and I work my ass off in the gym every day. I'm getting there, just still have work to do.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 11:18 AM) Holy f***! Brandon McCarthy? It's crazy because that was my initial reaction too. But I'm 6'3 170 now and have a solid amount of muscle and still haven't lost all the fat off my tummy. No idea how that's possible, just an extremely odd body type I guess? It's weird.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 11:03 AM) Norm MacDonald's Sport Show is so awesome. You have to like Norm to enjoy it because it basically is all him, but I'm a huge fan and it did not disappoint. Missed it due to the Sox game last night but I was definitely looking forward to it. Big fan of Norm, glad to hear it's off to a good start.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:52 AM) GTFO. It was about 3 inches away from being a homer. Thank you for saying it so simply! In a wind blow USCF that doesn't mean it was smoked, not in the least. And for the 90th time, Matt looked like crap on Monday, no doubt but you can't really put the loss on him when it wasn't his doing that allowed the run to score.
  16. I really can't stand Hamilton and think he's a moron for calling out his 3rd base coach like that. That being said, if I were him, I'd be sliding into home head first on that play as well.
  17. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 09:28 AM) With the way hitters are crushing him...do you really believe he would have made it out of that inning? I don't, and I love me some Thornton. No idea but once again, not the point I was trying to make. And for the record, before Monday's appearance, Matt's given up 1 hard hit ball in his other save opportunities(the Johnson homer that was absolutely crushed).
  18. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:36 AM) I don't think SA will make it out of the West, it's still the Lakers as far as I'm concerned. Lakers or Thunder imo. I agree though that SA wont make it out the West but like I said before, might as well capture the 1 overall just in case.
  19. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 08:37 AM) I think the fly ball that Juan dropped in the Tampa game was ridiculous, but the other night against the A's, that wasn't a "simple" catch. That ball was smoked (just like every other ball was off Thornton) and the wind was playing havoc with it as well, so I still give JP the benefit of the doubt. I thought generally speaking he played pretty good D for us last year in LF so let's hope the worst is behind him. That ball really wasn't smoked but the wind was certainly playin havoc on it. That being said, that's definitely a catch he has to make. Juan's biggest attribute to us is the fact that he's normally an above average lf but so far this year he's cost us two games out there with his glove, this just can't happen. As others have said, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in left because he's been so good but this kind of crap can't happen anymore. He's had his two big f*** ups in the first week and a half of the season, he pretty much has to be flawless out there the rest of the year now.
  20. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 08:29 AM) He allowed a leadoff double, not just some minor blip of a hit. Then the error. Then a line drive that, luckily, was smashed right into Konerko's glove. Pierre messed up, but Thornton looked terrible, too. A real closer MUST be able to pitch over errors from time to time. I understand this isn't the Thornton we all know and love right now, but fact is, it's the Thornton we have at the moment. We cannot afford to have a closer out there everyone has to play perfect baseball or the game is over. Fielders WILL mess up from time to time...he has to shake that off and pitch over it if/when it happens. And once again, I said that he looked bad on Monday, never denied that. I just have a hard time actually blaming him for the loss considering it wasn't his doing that allowed the run to score.

    QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 07:52 AM) I really wants to bone Snookie. Yuck.
  22. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 07:21 AM) I'm just saying if Chris Paul had the same athletic ability as what Rose did (which he probably did 3-4 years ago), No. Anyways, Bulls now tied with the Spurs for best record in the league.
  23. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) Ugh, I hate when people place all of the blame on one person when multiple people were at fault. The defense AND Thornton let us down last night. He allowed one hit. Like I said, he certainly didn't look good out there but it's kind of hard to blame him for the loss when he just allowed a hit that didn't leave the park.
  24. Sergio and Chris are a freakin joy to watch. Nice to see the count beat another pitcher this year instead of one of ours, nice ab there by Alexei to win it!
  25. QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) It used to top out at 91, and the decline has to with the number of innings he's pitched. He hasn't been touching 91 for a long, long time now. And he's been more or less hitting 87 this year, he's freakin fine. I kind of agree with J4L, I wasn't in an uproar when we pulled Mark but I certainly disagreed with it. Either way, the defense in the end is what once again let us down(though Matt looked awful last night).
