  1. Probably not surgery. Repairing a muscle is like tying to pieces of spaghetti together. It rarely works. The 3 months to 9 month timeframe would be reasonable for a return depending on the severity of the tear.
  2. That motion would be the one where he could have torn his pec. Usually the shoulder goes first though.
  3. Madrigal had a separation of the acromioclavicular (AC) joint. That joint has zero muscle around it and almost always needs surgery to stabilize it, if its significant. This looked more like a subluxation or dislocation of the glenohumeral joint or the typical shoulder joint. It has a great deal of muscle support. Many times they can strengthen it and not need surgery. It just depends on the severity and if the labrum is involved.
  4. He stretched over the wall and kept it going for the ball. He "hypr-flexed" it similar to someone trying to tackle someone as they are running by. That forceful "pull" is what forces the humerus out of the joint.
  5. When you have to hold our pants to keep your arm still and support it, it isn't a good sign. That being said it could have been a minor subluxation and just a couple of weeks. He probably won't be ready for opening day.
  6. it isn't a fracture. They wouldn't have let him walk without support.
  7. Weeks. if its significant months. The grabbing the pants to support the should is not a good sign.
  8. subluxlation or dislocation of the shoulder 2-6 if its minor.
  9. Points bet posted a +100 on the Sox to score 1+ runs on Opening Day with a limited max bet. I think I'll take it.
  10. If you don't mind the drive, the mass vaccination site in Quincy has many open slots everyday. It is very underutilized and they use the J&J.
  11. Have to see what his endurance and health is like with the same awful lack of follow through.
  12. The Sox played 25 games in 27 days in September. Pitching 14 times in 27 days is abuse on his body. That does not allow adequate recovery. It is not irrelevant regardless if anyone has done it before.
  13. True but he's never been able to throw the curve for strikes. It's break is too big and often ends in the dirt. Most of the good breaking pitches for strikes were sliders. But you're right. If he ever could control it he would be deadly.
  14. His slider is much more consistent. He enough control issues with his fastball. He doesn't need to complicate it with the poor control of the curveball.
  15. He should never be allowed to throw a curve in a game. He rarely throws it for a strike and MLB hotter don't chase it.
  16. Yes. His dosage of pitching has been really high the last couple of years.
  17. Yes. His dosage of pitching the last 2 years has been really high.
  18. Correct. For performance or injury.
  19. The question is answered once and for all. HRderby.pdf
  20. I'm in the exact same situation. We have a 21 and a 19 away at college. We use turbo tax and ran both sets of numbers last year and it was slightly better to claim them. Nothing really significant though. We haven't done it yet this year. You are right about none of the changes seem to ever help.
  21. Have him try physical therapy especially a McKenzie certified PT. A second surgery is typically a mistake as if the first one didn't help, the disc probably wasn't the cause of the issue. Chronic pain is not a typical result of a microdiscectomy.

    Student Loan Debt

This is true. However people also need to have appropriate expectations. You can go to the trade school but don't have expectations of having the lifestyle of a Manager in an insurance company. Too many people have the expectations of the have's and have nots. Different professions have different growth capacities. Doesn't mean you aren't successful, you are just in a different industry that may or may not lead the a certain lifestyle. You need to pick the trade appropriately as well. If you go to the aircraft airframe and powerplant school your lifestyle is going to be very different than if you become an electrician.
  23. I thought the DUI charges were dropped.
