So how would you feel towards a family member if...
This is the type of situation where I wish we lived in a more brutal society. They'll just go to jail and probably get out before they die, otherwise they'll just receive a painless death by lethal injection. They should be dragged out into the street and shot a few times in the kneecaps, groin, stomach, etc. before being shot in the head. No offense, lost, but I'd feel the same way if it were someone in my family.

2011 TV Thread
I'll just tell you right now that it's not a dream, although there is at least one more season coming. It was just a sub par season, sort of like Sons Of Anarchy was. And unlike SOA, it didn't have a final episode that saved the entire season.

Make it Milledge
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 11:03 AM) I'm insulted by this accusation. Even though you're right. Lol. Well at least give me the Dunn signing. And I've lauded Ozzie for naming Thornton/Morel the closer and 3B. But, yeah, let us get off to another 2010-ish like start and my wrath will be epic. Thanks, buddy. Right back at ya. Did the Dunn signing happen in 2010 or 2011? I just find it funny that you've become the fathom or, dare I say, the Milkman delivers of 2005

Make it Milledge
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 08:00 AM) Brandon Allen would be far and away the top prospect in our system, not including Sale, and in the top 10-12 in many others. I can't really pinpoint why Arizona hasn't given him a chance yet. Then again, they've traded Max Scherzer and Dan Haren for pretty mediocre returns. And I don't know where you get that 4 guys are ahead of him on their depth chart. He's second only to Juan Miranda at 1B. And they've got the great Xavier Nady in LF, another position Allen could potentially play. If you think the Sox 'won' that trade I would hate to see your definition of lost trade. Pena sucks. You have not made one wholly optimistic post this year.

Matt Thornton named 2011 Closer
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 01:21 AM) Good choice. Less of an excuse for the Sox next season if they plan on continuing to stifle his progress by putting him back in the bullpen. Good God, shut up already.

Baseball Player "pun" Names
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 09:43 AM) He's telling Brent that he needs more "L"s to spell the word yellow since it was spelled with just one. Ah, thanks.

Baseball Player "pun" Names
QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) He spelled it, Y-E-L-O-W. Brent, Morel is what you need. I still don't get it.

2011 Films Thread
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 12:36 AM) He's a good role actor, not a good leading actor. He's a terrible actor. Edit: That is a bold, underlined period in size 7 at the end of that sentence.

2011 Films Thread
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 11:19 PM) He's the same person in almost any movie, but he does fit that role well. He is the perfect person to play George Michael Bluth. I guess you can say he does it well, but I haven't been able to stand him in anything. He has the acting range of a rock.

Women are targets, not actually people
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 06:13 PM) Its no unrealistic. Especially if you pull in some hogs on drunken nights. I know there was a year or two in there where my brain literally made itself forget I ever bedded a few of them. 50 is still alot though, you better wrap that s*** up. No doubt that there'd have to be some gross ones in there. I don't think I've ever been drunk enough to take home some of the girls I've seen taken home by others.

Women are targets, not actually people
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) You can easily be with a woman a month in college and hit that number. Haha, I knew as I was writing it that, if anyone on the site would refute what I said, it'd be you.

2011 NFL Lockout Thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) Great, so get off of f***ing twitter and explain it like an intelligent adult, because both of them sound completely ignorant. How long before someone questions it and someone else pulls the race card by saying that the majority of players are black and owners are white?

Baseball Player "pun" Names
QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) haha this whole thread is like a collection of bad joecoolman jokes.. Except the people making the jokes know they're bad and don't think they've come up with some great one-liners.

Women are targets, not actually people
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a terrible liar. The kind of guy who wrote this letter is one of them, a person who can't see the difference between telling a believable lie and an outrageous one. This guy claims to have had sex with 50 women. That is damn near impossible, especially for someone who is still in college. Instead of picking a reasonably high number, he chooses an absurd amount and then writes a detailed essay on it, further proving how big of a liar he is. I have a friend who claimed to have been with 70+ women. Trust me, when you tell a story that's that ridiculous, nobody believes you. NOBODY believes you and while you think you're building yourself up in other people's eyes, they're laughing at you for being so stupid. I just hate terrible liars.

Five things the Sox need from Spring Training
I really couldn't be much happier with the way this team is shaping up for the season. Another note I love is the fact that Ozzie seems to understand now that games early in the season matter. For years, it seemed as though we would drop games that we could have won and the view from the managerial team was that it was too early to care.

Atlantis may have been found
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 15, 2011 -> 05:00 PM) I really enjoyed it. I hadn't heard of any of the stories in there, which is pretty unusual for me. How about a quick one to give me a better idea of what kind of stories we're talking about here?

Atlantis may have been found
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 15, 2011 -> 09:09 AM) It is ironic that you say that, because I just finished a book that reflects on stories just like that. It is called Lost to Time, and it is all about stories that history has forgotten to some extent. http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Time-Unforgetta...1714&sr=1-1 I don't read many books, but that seems like something that'd be right up my alley. What did you think?

Gatlinburg

Japan Tsunami
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 10:56 AM) If Curt Hennig was standing directly on top of the New Madrid fault when a 9+ magnitude quake hit, he would not be hurt. Because he is already dead. Then again, unless the ground opened up, would anybody be hurt by an enormous earthquake if they were standing in the middle of a plain or something?

Official Squared Circle Thread
QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 02:47 AM) Honky Tonk Man came out today and said if Hogan got an offer from WWE right now he would take it and bail on TNA. Probably BS, but it wouldn't surprise me if Hogan was to do something like that. You can tell the booking under Russo and Sullivan has all gone to s***. The only chance TNA really had was to bring in Paul Heyman to run things and they screwed that up. If I have learned anything about Hogan over the years, it's that he has zero loyalty or class. He'd bail on TNA in a heartbeat.

Japan Tsunami
I see that Chicago is in that earthquake zone for the New Madrid fault, although very far from the main area. Would the damage from a huge earthquake do much to Chicago? And is there any natural disaster that could really ravage this city? I know it's pretty hard for a tornado to touch down in a city, plus we can't be hit by hurricanes, etc.

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 12:20 PM) Has he outpitched Infante? I don't know, as I've watched almost nothing this spring. I'm guessing from this post and your post about Morel and Teahen in the other thread that, no, he has not out-pitched Infante.
-
3rd Base....NO....not Teahen!
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 12:15 PM) What about Adam Done? If someone butchers his name that badly, I'd probably throw a rock through my monitor at them. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 12:16 PM) In other words, no, Morel hasn't hit good enough. That was my rule for him. He needs to earn the spot. If he struggles through the whole spring, he needs to have a few weeks of hitting well at AAA. I actually wouldn't have a problem with that. It may sound stupid, but I don't want another Brian Anderson situation on our hands where the guy is just handed the job and has done nothing to earn it. Even if it's just a week or two in the minors, at least it will show him that he can't just get away with not performing.
