  1. You are right that a AA roster next year would technically be worse than the AAA roster we have currently.
  2. Reading statements like this makes me sad. I know that we’ll all forget these guys’ names in a few years after they become busts.
  3. To be clear, I don’t even care if these guys end up being crap. I say trade anyone from this roster for as much as you can get. This team is years away from contention, so might as well try to stock up on prospects again.
  4. Ha, MLB website had the Angels organization ranked 28 before the season started. I’m guessing these guys are turds.
  5. And he’s probably closer to getting fired than Hahn is.
  6. You’re absolutely right, but a nice start couldn’t have hurt.
  7. True, but also not a great selling point. Trade for this expensive pitcher with a laughable ERA who can’t go 4 full innings?
  8. The rare trifecta of bad, unlikeable, and cocky.
  9. Lol, we needed Lynn simply not to embarrass himself, and he gives up 7 runs in under 5 innings. That’s about right for this team.
  10. And I didn’t need to follow the interviewing process to know Grifol was going to suck. He came from basically the worst team in baseball. And on top of that, they tried to skew his background when they announced his hiring to make it seem like he was an integral part of the Royals’ World Series team. A few seconds of internet searching told me that he was their bullpen coach or catcher or some other BS position. I knew right then that we were being sold on a loser.
  11. I’m not defending Hahn, but maybe Grifol was the best candidate? I didn’t follow the interviewing process, so I really don’t know. But I’m fairly sure no good manager would have been interested. We had our chance when we hired La Russa. All of the flaws of the franchise came out during his time in the dugout. Now we probably have to settle for whatever we can get.
  12. Yikes, four pages for a game thread? I don’t think people fully understand how bad this season is for the future of this franchise. People really don’t care about the team anymore. It’s well past hatred and firmly into apathy.
  13. Here’s my night. Don’t watch a second of the game. Looks at the final score. Oof, wonders who started this one. Looks at the box. Crap.
  14. I can get on board with that. Just don’t think it automatically makes Fitzgerald a bad person that it happened during his tenure. He may not have been aware. And I didn’t know who he was before this week.
  15. I guess I’m just tired of the current overall culture of allegations automatically leading to firings. I guess I didn’t really pay attention to the baseball side of the story. I’ve only heard about the football coach. I still don’t agree with your first sentence of the thread. I can see why you’d call Foster a scumbag, but not sure Fitzgerald deserves that title as of now.
  16. Has there been any proof that the head coaches knew about these things? From what I’ve seen, there isn’t.
  17. Fire Hahn, too. There’s blame to go around.
  18. We ain’t getting that either, my friend.
  19. Make it interesting for fans? I don’t know. Clearly nobody cares about this team judging by attendance, lack of activity on this board, and the general malaise you pick up whenever the Sox are mentioned. Everyone knows they’re really bad and it’s not going to change for several years.
  20. I can honestly say the strike hasn’t made the slightest difference in my life. Keep it going and alienate as many people as possible.
