Root for Boston or Detroit?
QUOTE(Wedge @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) Cheer for an earthquake? My instinct was always to root for a meteor to strike the stadium....

White Sox got lucky
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 11:20 AM) My co worker was at yesterday's game and said Anderson threw a ball into the CF stands and that a Tiger's fan caught it and threw it back at BA, barely missing him. I guess a few Sox fans pounded this guy until security arrived and kicked him out. Anyone see this? I saw it. The yogurt-for-brains Tigers fan was in section 101 (I think) to the right and down from where I was sitting. Brian was coming back out to CF after coming through with his RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. The crowd in right center was giving him quite an ovation. After warm-ups, Brian threw the ball into the stands where the cheering was loudest. Unfortunately, a Tiger fan caught the ball. He threw it right back onto the field, missing Brian by a few feet. He turned around and was showing off his Tigers shirt like Dee Brown in the NCAAs. The whole section turned on the guy. There was no violence that I could see, however. They just shouted the guy down. Security arrived about 5 minutes later and escorted the yogurt-for-brains from the park. Most of right center field was chanting “nah-nah, hey hey, goodbye!” after him.

Ok, someone has to say it- Anyone else think the Yankees' rotation sounds like something out of a porn flick? We have faced their Wang and triumphed. We must now defeat their Johnson!

24 games in 24 days: The tracker
Not the best way to start this crucial stretch.

Sox @ Jays - 8/6
Anybody know what Crede's status is? I was a bit worried when he came out of yesterday's game.

We're not the only ones
Regardless of the pitching troubles Detroit may be having (and I'm not convinced that it's that serious), they aren't slowing down one bit.

Next 15 games
Official record for that 15-game stretch? 3-12.

I feel much the same way as you do, Ginger. This hurts a lot, and I feel stupid for investing this much of myself into a group of strangers playing a game. Of course, I felt this way last August....

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) I honestly don't think it'll matter. I think he has ruined his ability to freak out like that and have it have an effect on the team. He freaks out too much...It's lost it's luster. This team is going to have to get out of this funk on their own. Maybe some of our clubhouse leaders will call a players' only meeting and see what they, themselves, can do to break out of this death spiral. Paulie? Jermaine? AJ?- Twins @ Sox - 7/26 Game Thread

QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) Santana is due for a bad outing. It's a good thing we're getting him tonight. Look for the Sox to jump all over him early and often. This one should be a laugher and hopefully by the end of the night when Soriano officially becomes a member of the White Sox there will be alot less whiners around here. Sox - 16 (7 HR's) Twins - 0 Contrerras complete game shut out.- What I have learned the last few weeks
I'm in agreement. I thought I'd be able to be happy with last year's result, but I can't be happy with how the team has been playing for about a month now. It's too depressing.- And That's A White Sox Loss
