GT 6/25: BAL @ Sox (1:10pm)
True, but NBA used to play 3 in 4 nights, sometimes 4 in 5 nights, flew commercial, yet no load management. Michael Jodan used to play 30+ minutes in exhibition games because many paid a lot to see him. The Bulls would get skewered for doing that today. I think these guys are such specimens these days and are too tight.

Amazing a White Sox announcer taunting fans for bailing on an underperforming team. And making changes is one thing all fan bases call for when the team is failing. Only losing organizations refuse to change when what they are doing isn’t working.

You can tell TA is still a little gimpy, although he made an incredible play last night in the hole look routine. I understand why he is sitting day after night, especially when the field is going to be a little damp.

What I don’t understand is the manager doesn’t think he’s good enough to start over Leury, doesn’t think he’s good enough to pinch hit against a lefty for Sheets, but 15 hours later he’s a leadoff man. I wish Stone would read this. It’s fucked up, and we don’t need the Stone Blessing for Baseball Genius to see it. Any idiot could.

Fire Tony Chant
The last calendar year, this "multiple championships" roster with a HOF baseball person making out the line up card, is slightly better than .500. This has been going on for a long while, yet crickets from upstairs.

Fire Tony Chant
I wish some sportswriter would ask Hahn how he, and IMO correctly, determined Renteria wasn't going to lead this team to where it wanted to be, can watch this everyday and still cling to hope they have the right guy. They downgraded. I have never been a LaRussa fan, but I figured he would at least be better than Reneria running a bullpen. That has proven to be wrong. And almost every game he makes some decision against all norms in order to try to be smarter than everyone else, that doesn't work. There isn't a manager alive who if he was trying to win last night, wouldn't have pinch hit for Sheets in the 8th. Except one. Fire him. Fire the GM who had a terrible offseason, and hire someone who realizes baseball isn't brain surgery. The sooner Tony goes home, the better the chances you can salvage something this season.

SOX GT 6/24 - BEGINNING OF A 3 GAME WIN STREAK
LaRussa should have retired after last season. It was clear he was in a fog. Hahn did him no favors, making this roster with a goal of multiple championships, that was short last seaon, even shorter. The house needs a full cleaning.

Total BS. The only guy with a hit on deck, a potential tying run and LaLoser gives up.

Tony white flagging. Not pinch hitting here should be fireable.

You have to take him out.

I would never have guessed this team would be boring. But it's as boring as can be.

Lenyn Sosa joins the White Sox; 2 years later, Banana Ball to Chicago
It’s either 43 days of service time or 1 day, I can’t remember, but it doesn’t matter with Mendick, he qualifies for lifetime healthcare.

Mendick, Engel, and (maybe) Robert leave with injuries
These guys are bigger and stronger than ever, and they seem to get hurt more in every sport than ever as well John Kruk was right. You can’t pull fat.

Mendick said his goal is to be ready for spring training. Surgery isn’t set yet, but it’s happening.

Yeah but Mendick is clearly out 60 days. Why not just put him on it? Maybe there is some insurance or something that kicks in when a guy goes on it, maybe a longer rehab assignment, I have no idea, because it seems pretty unnecessary.

Big Energy actually had a nice series against Toronto. And Tony loves Leury although with Engel out he may see mor time in the OF. I dont know what to make of Sosa. Wasn't very highly thought of, but not many White Sox, especially middle infielders put up the numbers he put up in Birmingham. Maybe they finally developed someone.

My question would be why place Eloy on the 60 day when Mendick is clearly out for the season? Is there something where he can't be placed on it after he is eligible to be reinstated?

2022 Rule Changes
This is interesting. I’ve probably caught between 20-25 balls during my time. Once , 4 consecutive games. I haven’t got one since pre Covid, but I have got them at Guaranteed Rate, Minneapolis and Wrigley, and the balls the Sox used were muddier by a pretty large margin.

Crochet hoping to be a starter
Between HS varsity, college and pro ball, Crochet has a little less than 300 innings under his belt, and arm issues at least 3 times, one surgery. Anyone who thinks he qill be a quality starter are way too high. He probably misses most of next season. Just hope he's not one who comes back and sucks. A lockdown lefty reliever is still a win at his draft slot.
-
Crochet hoping to be a starter
Same for LH starters throwing 95. It's his motion that screws people up.
-
Crochet hoping to be a starter
130 IP in 3 years of college with 13 starts. Already with several arm issues. What makes anyone think he could possibly hold up as a MLB starter?

Anderson back, Moncada to IL
Probably didn't make a difference, but it could have, and for what? Do the White Sox believe hammys are 2 day injuries? If they do, they are wackadoos.

Anderson back, Moncada to IL
It took way longer than it should, but they made the right call.
