  1. Apathy is the perfect term for how I feel about this team. I went to bed when they took the lead and really did not care if they won or lost nor will I this evening.
  2. I am continuing to move closer to believing that this is as much if not more Hahn than it is Tony....and I am not saying Tony is by any means not an issue. Look at the bench at the end of last night's game. They are currently playing with one outfielder and he is told to not run very hard. Last year Hamilton/Goodwin etc could at least play defense and bring a little spark. There is not one defensive player that is above average on this roster, then you couple that with the fact that there is no power on this team. From the bullpen side they signed a guy that was already injured and a guy that could not go back to back days. And in closing they felt Dallas Keuchel was the answer. Fire Rick Hahn.... Luis Gonzalez would be their best outfielder currently and they saw no need for actual outfield depth. I understand any team could have taken him and didn't but teams like their players and Gonzalez wasn't moving the needle for them but for a team that had developed and brought him up and had no other outfielders they let him walk....stupid.
  3. You know when guys get hurt on this team, trying to beat out groundballs or creating extra base hits on ground balls. This whole organization is incredibly broken. Let's take big slow guys or injury prone guys and make them singles hitters trying to take extra bases. The stupidity is rather amazing.
  4. I'm not even sure a good manager could make this work for an organization as poorly run as them. Go back to $10M spent on Garcia and Harrison. The offense is so bad it's rather amazing. Vaughn has fallen back to earth.
  5. Vaughn Montgomery and Cease Trade everyone
  6. I'm baffled that McGuire played about the same as Grandal if not more now Zavala is playing more than McGuire. To me this means Grandal is hurt and Tony hates McGuire. I be mistaken but it seems that way to me. Garcia must be hurt again which again shows that him playing 3 in a row is managerial stupidity.
  7. This team is like watching a bad 16inch softball team. Nobody has any power, they are slow so it's station to station. They hit exactly where the pitcher wants them to. The defense makes no plays out of the ordinary but makes errors and does dumb things. On occassion a couple really good players show up and they win a game every now and then but said players never come back because rest of the team sucks.
  8. If Pollock doesn't have the mandatory full off day why didn't he start? I love the Burger story but he's another 1B/DH. Trade him for an average RF, 2B or RP.
  9. Just tuned in. Good to see offense is allowing the bullpen to be in a position to blow it with the 1.00 WHIP against another shitty pitcher.
  10. Put Vaugn in LF and DH Pollock I'm so sick of mandated days off Halsey is under the weather GMAGB send him th Charlotte. So is Garcia still hurt yet HAD to play last 3 days. Drunken manager is only explanation for this stupidity.
  11. Go look at injuries across baseball. Injuries aren't the issue. Roster construction, player usage and baseball stupid from Chairman on down to numerous players are the issue. Leury Garcia is the worst hitter in baseball and he is on a brand new 3 yr $15M contract......that's it, that's what is wrong with this moronic embarassing franchise. This organization cannot find anyone else capable of being the not worst player in baseball.
  12. Not happening. The dude blew up front offices after retiring from the field and when nobody listened to him he called upon his buddy to get back on the field. The embarrassment that is this franchise is almost palpable.
  13. I'm in my 50s and been watching the Sox since I was 7. I have a 20 game ticket plan and usually attend 15-20 games a year. I've been around. This past offseason took the wind out of my sails. The lockout, then making no moves to improve upon obvious team weaknesses. Hahn's insufferable BS has gotten to me. Apathy is setting in. I spend most games on my phone not paying attention. I tune in sporadically if I'm bored and really care very little. My games include, shitty opening day, the Indians debacle, Yankees ass kicking, cease getting destroyed, Thursday night. They are not fun to watch in any capacity. It really is a sad state of affairs.
  14. Fans don't even care. The last two games have been so bad nobody gives a shit. Literally nobody cared about yesterday's game. My two college ages sons made the Sox must see tv in 20 and 21....now it's meh if nothing is going on they'll check in. Casual Fans don't give a flying fuck about this team. Another blown opportunity to engage the city especially with it imploding upon itself. Fuck this organization I feel like an idiot for caring.
  15. This drunk asshole thinks leury Garcia is a starter. That poor observation alone should have gotten him fired. Welp I again hate this team.
  16. So what, 2 years of wasted window knowing there is no sustainability due organizational incompetence. The AA manager will get the job and team will begin to rebuild.
