Need to make Hill work.....sadly I think he lets the Sox get themselves out. -
Dane Dunning - Expectations now and going forward
Harry Chappas replied to ron883's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think I finally believe that Kenny Williams has turned the keys over to RH. Dunning is a guy that KW moves at the deadline for a reliever. -
Wonder if a somewhat healthy Rodon is in play. If he can give anything the last few weeks you have him Cease, Dunning and Gio to roll the dice on.

Sox playoff chances sit at 100%, 3rd in AL for WS odds

The condensed regional schedule is what is crazy. The Central is basically the Indians, Twins, Sox and cubs and the rest are meh. -
Whatever ESPN Radio 1000 has on in the morning it is beyond bad and unlistenable. I think it is different people every day but i can't listen to it long enough to get an idea. I almost listened to Tommy Hockavey it was so bad but I remembered that 94.7 is pretty good. Was in the car without SIRIUS in case you were wondering.

Madrigal to the IL/Delmonico Optioned

Cease right now is as untouchable as a player can be on the White Sox. Kopech is not even in the team photo, literally. -
Cubs are not very good. I know record says otherwise.

8-23 GT: Sox @ Cubs (1:20pm)

Seems to be the mantra this year with this team. I guess it's still their philosophy. I will say they have been having much better at bats as a team lately in regard to making pitchers work. -

Especially with yhe off day. I think it's more Cooper. -
How much longer do you wait on EE and Mazara?
Harry Chappas replied to Jack Parkman's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Im not a Delmonico fan but what has Mazara shown to warrant staying in the lineup. He has a 630 OPS and bad defense. The team did not draft or develop him and he was not good in Texas. Every year it was an injury excuse. Maybe he just stinks. -

At a minimum he should not be batting 2nd...if you dont hit for mendick in the 9th he should be hitting second. Anyway it's a loss you live with. Great weekend -

Should have pitched around him again. How does Hendricks give the Cardinals such fits -

My hope is that Mendick just has the natural baseball ability to pick it up. Mazara is a waste. -

This is Mazara's last chance. If he can't hit Hendricks he serves zero purpose. I never have faith in Lopez. Hopefully this is just an opener on short lesh. -

Moncada gets three of next six days off is how I see it. He has injury issues so no big deal. Sucks they do not have a better infield option at this point. -

Delmonico is a better option sadly. -

Steve Stone was on the SCORE at noon today and basically said you let Giolito decide who his catcher is. Great interview. -
Private schools are better at this as they can control every aspect of e learning and can pivot quickly and can engage faculty to assist in the transformation. In the Chicago area for public schools this is not the case. Public school district faculty and administrators have nobody to answer to if they fail. Many really didn't do much over the summer as that is what they were used. In early August they then tried to figure it out. The ISBE IDPH and governor gave little hope. CPS and the CTU are an embarrassing disaster but nobody cares. In the end for me it has been and always will be the fact that is no middle ground in this country and still 5 months into this thing we can't all agree that we should wear a mask and put proper protocols in place to get back to school. I believe education is essential and now it is viewed as being non-essential. At this point educational officials treated this as such all summer because of a complacency of school administrators and unions. Where was the union input in May, June and July to partner with school districts. Schools can be opened safely if people really wanted to put the work in to do it. I feel the public school system in northeast Illinois rewards complacency far to often. There is zero accountability and enormous salary and pension hand outs for putting in little to no effort.

I was going to start a thread about Burger. That is great news. If he could become an asset that would be huge. This lineup needs some more balanced OBP guys. -
Maybe they are realizing Mazara is not that good. I kind of wondered why Delmonico had not been brought up when we were short handed in the outfield. Also Delmonico is a late inning replacement for defense and LH bat so he makes some sense. As far as Dunning, it allows him to get whatever work he needs in a taxi squad game next game as opposed to RR using him in the wrong spot out of the bullpen.

My son is going to campus next week. It is a small rural setting faith based school. The information they have sent out and their plan is incredible and may just work. The issue is there is no testing before you get to campus. While they can essentially create a bubble once students arrive there is no way to determine their status upon arrival which is what is hitting these schools.

White Sox Appear Headed to ESPN 1000 Next Year
Harry Chappas replied to chetkincaid's topic in Pale Hose Talk
As stated earlier I like them on a sports radio station as gives the station more reason to promote them, Seems like every person in the cub organization has a spot on the Score. -
Based on timing it could have been Gonzalez
