    COmputer Help

I am using the Microsoft Office XP Professional version, and Im not sure what the school has, should be the same version I believe. I emailed my teacher and hopefully she knows whats going on. Other classmates havent had any problems that I know of with the different versions (if they are diff.)

    COmputer Help

Alright guys, I have this project for my AP Stats class and with it is this spreadsheet which has all the data and charts for it. In the class we used Macs and Excel, and I saved my work onto my USB drive and that worked fine when I saved it then and used it again on the Mac. But now at home my PC is saying that it cant read the format, or that there is an error and must shut down excel. It will open in Word, and I can get the spreadsheet info but not the graphs. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
  3. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 11:27 PM) Like I said Cheap! Yippee! Give us the cheapest team with the most potential. There are cheaper alternatives for Buerhle, Konerko, Thome, Jenks, etc. Get rid of them all. And all those alternatives have potential. We could fill a team on potential. Around here no one wants the guy that signs his second contract. So promote the entire AAA roster. I am certain everyone here would just be crushed if they thought the 2005 team didn't make a bunch of money for the owners. These guys didnt miss almost all of last year with a major injury, plus they produce much more than Crede has/and will. Even Crede's best year wasnt worthy of an All Star selection, and though I think he can hit .270 with 24 homers, I also think Fields can outproduce that. Its all about having a player who is cheaper, but also better and more reliable
  4. Just went to a concert with Rory Block, she was just phenomenal. Shes gettin up there in age, I believe 58, but her emotion makes up for the slight loss of voice ability (not sure how to word it there.) If you like blues (and some contemporary stuff) then you should check her out live or buy a cd, I was blown away by her.
  5. Chicken burrito from Big Ten Burrito, sooooo goood. If anybody here goes to ann arbor ever, this is a must place to go to.

    Spring Semester

Last semester in high school coming up! Basically got three AP classes going, with one finishing up now as a semester long one and not a yearlong. But really only my English AP class is hard, the rest like Stats and Latin are really easy, and then I have Advanced law (which i am told is a blowoff class), Optimist (im an editor/sports reporter for the school newspaper) and Trailblazers (where we are assigned an elementary school kid and tudor them n such, which by the way is a very cool program we have). I cant wait for it to begin!! Woot!
  7. Okay, so we all know he wants to pull out of Iraq immediately, but what about his other foreign relations? Is he going to be able to work well with other countries? Will his views help us or hurt us? Can his ideas jumpstart the economy back to a good state? Basically what I am asking is will he be a GOOD president, will he HELP the country, can he bring countries together in PEACE? I will be able to vote for the first time in this upcoming election, and he intrigues me with some of his ideas, but I still dont know if he would be a good president, as in this country needs alot of fixes, not just changes, and Im not sure taht he could do that. Plus his foreign stance scares me, like it or not the US influences the world and the president has most of the power in our relations with other countries, and he will have to prevent future hostilities and maybe improve our relations to help the US in other areas such as the economy.

  9. I wont be back in town yet and will have my own baseball, but if its more over the summer like July/August I probably could.
  10. QUOTE(ScottyDo @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 09:25 PM) This is pretty good evidence of a) our drafting/development ineptitude, B) the relative worthlessness --or maybe i should say overratedness, if that's a word -- of prospects in general (I mean, I'm sure we got some useful players in return for some of those guys) and c) solid reasoning behind the swisher trade. now what would be interesting to me is to see the prospect rankings of some of those guys at the time of their trades. Most likely none of them were at the level of Gio or DLS but if they were, that's even MORE evidence. anybody got that information? Sorry to be offtopic here, but I just noticed you were from Ann Arbor, are you a student or what? I thought I was the only Sox fan here!
  11. So Bureau, would Egbert be a fringe prospect, in that he had to use all he had to put up the stats that he did? I know you say not to look at stats but he really doesnt have overpowering stuff but still seems to get guys out with the sinker, is this guy a real prospect or what?
  12. I completly agree with iamshack in the research portion. My brother is a junior at UMich working towards becoming an electrical engineer and hopes to work on alternative energy sources in his career. This has led to many family discussions about the environment and future sources of power and the whole corn ethanol strategy, and what has been found is that corn just doesnt have enough power in it to fuel the country. Even if we grow corn on every square inch of the US it wont match the requirement, so what do we do? Ive heard that there are researchers working on a new dense grass like crop which has much more energy than corn and hopefully that will come out soon. We definitely need to invest more in research.
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 09:33 PM) "Risk" has pretty much made my X-mas break. I friggin' love that game. WOW! I just played it last week for the first time in what seemed forever. I didnt do very well as this idiot decided to try to get australia from one country there against my two, and he just stacked all his guys there. So in a 6 player game, he wiped both of us out almost immediately, atleast I last a turn longer than him. That game is still magnificent.
  14. Dont know if this has been mentioned, but Kris Benson? Could he come back and be a competent 4 or 5? I kinda wished we took a flyer on Towers, only what 31? Signed for 1.8 mill, which is basically nothing now.

  16. Guys are you for cereal? Kong wont be traded to the Angels, but I could see an NL team maybe saying hello to the Sox.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) I saw the Kingdom last night and damn did it freaking rock. I freakin hated the ending, "were going to kill them all" but other than that it was great. And saw Stardust, only to see Robert DeNiro as a gay pirate, that was the only good part. And Once, Im still listening to the soundtrack, such a great music.
  18. Cubs traded Angel Pagan for some scrubs, weird as he is a cheap competent backup, maybe they just wanted to clear some room.
  19. I would def. trade OC for the right package, as I see us at best a 2nd place team (thats with injuries and blind luck etc.) If we could get a deal like the Renteria one I would be very happy.
  20. Maybe I'll get blasted here for this, but Im okay with it: I have no resounding hate for the Cubs. They are actually very tolerable to me (though many of their fans get on my nerves for being TRUE bandwagon fans, in that they dont even like the sport but love the Cubs). Since leaving Chicago about 5 years ago, I realized I would much rather see the Cubs win than the nearby Tigers, basically I am a fan of Chicago. I love that city!

    Christmas Present

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 17, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) Get a load of Mr. Sensitivity. Now where's that jerking-off smiley. . . The sketching supplies are actually a nice gift. But the BETTER gift would have been the complete Three Stooges on DVD. If she grimmaced when whe opened it then you know you need to end the relationship ASAP. If all men followed this simple advice. . . we'd all be single forever. Actually, we were at the mall on a date once and were looking at a stand full of calenders and such and one was a three stooges one and she cracked up.
  23. too bad, wouldve been nice if he panned out, we couldve used him recently if all went to plan

    Christmas Present

So I went with some sketch supplies, she is really good but hasnt drawn for awhile, but seems to enjoy it when she has times so I bought her some really nice variety of sketching pencils and a portable handcase so she can take it with her on trips etc.
  25. QUOTE(whitesox94 @ Dec 16, 2007 -> 08:01 PM) Ok TL, Cain, Dave Roberts to us for PK and Crede DR fills Center and Leadoff Cain and TL make the rotation BA THe Giants dont want to give dump Roberts that much, youre talking about two of the best young pitchers in the game, no way youre going to get both, you can get one, but both together is 99% untouchable
