For teams in contention, I think you will see these players really fight through the appeals system. In the case of Braun, the Brewers are f'ed this year anyways, so he can take his suspension at this point and come back next year recharged when the Brewers will hope to contend.

I have absolutely no problem with that and, to some extent, would prefer that. Even when the team struggles, there's something I really enjoy about watching a young, young team go through growing pains.

Guys become available, and GMs get aggressive, and sometimes overly aggressive. Guys do bounce back, even when they're older, but it's just not typical. I'd put it at 90% that 3 or more guys get dealt from this point forward, and probably 66.7% that 5 or more get dealt. I think you'll see the Sox do a lot of selling off, I'm just leaving open the possibility that they certainly may not.
