  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 10:25 AM) So does Tracey have a chance of sticking with the O's out of spring training? Rotoworld says AAA is more likely for Tracey
  2. Charlie Haeger, 2006 stats 3.44 ERA 4.91 UERA ...you know, just saying
  3. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 01:15 PM) I thought A-Rod did not like Ozzie. I cant see him picking us based on that. And people have never settled earlier beefs with each other. He is going to go to the money, and if he has a problem with Ozzie, the two can talk it out. If Ozzie can't do that, it would probably be best if he were fired, because one's agenda should not come before the team winning ballgames.
  4. I got it right, but so did like everyone else.
  5. 9/10, missed the first one Kinda knew Berkowitz, but the rest were guessed.
  6. QUOTE(bullpenHeat @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 01:38 AM) the biggest problem everyone here is missing is this. No Toby Hall.....No Brian Anderson. Eduardo Perez will be our righty off the bench if Hall is out for an extended amount, which means, Pablo, or (Shudder) Mack in center. Pablo would scare me like 10x more if he were in CF I'm still really not sure how Perez is going to make it onto the roster. I still think Danks should be optioned to AAA until he is needed to start, but maybe that's just shady.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 07:49 PM) Those jokes were similar, but the difference is when the first guy told them it wasn't really funny at all to say the least, when Dane Cook told them with subtle changes they were very very funny. The hell? Cook flat out stole them, regardless of changes being made. That's the issue right now, not how funny they are.
  8. I got drunk on your birthday for you
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 01:10 AM) Teachers should get fired for scheduling tests on Opening Day. What the hell. you're having your wisdom teeth removed
  10. Away Drew Bledsoe with the Bills, yellow (alternate I guess) Randy Moss with the Vikings annnnnnnd no Sox cuz those cost a lot and they're hard to find around here and I am too lazy to buy one online
  11. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) It would be okay if they brought in A-Rod to play SS next to Crede. Let Dye and Buehrle go as well. Then you could put Sweeney in RF. I see ARod at 3B and Crede gone
  12. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) Sox are trying to buy another year until 2008 for Sweeney, Anderson is not in longterm plans to me. RSINACF
  13. when he took me to the shooting range
  14. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 12:43 PM) I only saw the Comcat hilights and they were falling all over themselves. I wonder if this was the same gun that clocked Jenks at 111 MPH over the weekend. I could probly throw a 85 MPH fastball with the way this gun sounds. now if only I could do that left-handed with a decent breaking ball
  15. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 12:33 PM) I heard Boarchard was a 5 tool player too. Turns out he was just a tool x 5. you heard wrong then I guess He was drafted because of his power potential, plain and simple. Anderson was brought in because he is a great all-around talent.
  16. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 12:56 PM) I was wondering when someone was going to finally make a thread about bringing Rowand back to the White Sox. hahaha, shoots and scores And I say no to Co(co/velli) Crisp simply because of principle. I mean, how many former Indians can one team bring in?
  17. With all the ridiculous statements Ozzie has made this spring, I don't think I can believe a word he says anymore.
  18. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 11:43 PM) Yeah, I've got it "auto correcting" which I suspect is the problem. If I put it to eastern, I'm an hour too fast. If I put it to Central, I'm an hour too slow. I'm going to set it to Iraqi time, that's MIDDLE-EAST right? bah-duh pah
  19. QUOTE(iamshack @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 09:42 AM) Actually, Ken Williams traded three centerfielders to make way for Brian- Jeremy Reed, Chris Young, and Aaron Rowand. And as for comparing Anderson's situation to that of Crede and Garland, and even Ventura, you just cannot. When those players were coming up we had not won a world series. We did not have a so-called "window" in which to repeat. There is some pressure (despite what Kenny will admit, and what trades he has made) to win this year as three key players may be walking in Iguchi, Dye, and Mark. Simply because Brian may have to take a step down on the totem pole for the time being does not mean that Kenny and Ozzie no longer envision him as our starting CF of the future. It may simply mean that they don't believe this team can afford to suffer from his growing pains in such a critical year for the franchise. That being said, if the right player or deal came along, I think most of us would agree that Kenny would not hesitate to move Brian today. I disagree however, with those that claim that Brian being left off the 25-man roster would seal his fate as gone. So they bring in one of the more injury prone and mediocre players of the past 6 years to be his replacement? That's f'ing brilliant if that's the plan for bringing in a World Series. I bet Anderson is starting by the end of April.
  20. No, what's the point in adding salary and losing talent when the Sox have capable players in both of those positions? Rowand is not coming back unless Philly picks up everything and they'll take Aardsma.
  21. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 11:36 PM) Help me out here......... I follow the NFL only casually and am not a fantasy guy, so my question is: Who the f*** is Matt Schaub and why is he even remotely close to worth two 1st round picks (plus swapping 1st round slots) and $48 million??? Where did he come from and what has he done? Unless there is something I am completely missing, this seems like the most absurd deal I have ever heard of. Somebody make some sense out of this for me, please?? It's 2 2nd round picks, and basically Kubiak and the Texans feel he would be a top 10 pick if he were to re-enter the draft this year based upon his salary. They feel like they are getting a top 10 QB within the draft quality - meaning an elite prospect - at the cost of 2 positions in the first round, a 2nd rounder this year, and a 2nd rounder next year. If he pans out and is that good, it's a hell of a deal for the Texans; if not, well then it sucks.
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 08:26 AM) Yeah I do... Oh well, welcome to the old person club, where you play bridge and cribbage all day. Better make up some story really quick about how you had to walk 3 miles to school both ways in a blizzard.
