Funny to see how many people now are BEGGING for Gordo's return.

I like the idea of moving Alexei for Matt Adams from the Cardinals. The guy is 23, tears the cover off the ball and the Cards don't have a position for him anywhere. Not sure if it's realistic or not but he's a LH power bat with big upside and could be our future First Baseman.

Alexei hit a soft line drive up the middle that Hawk called "there's a basehit" when Getz got it on a bounce and had a chance to get the force at second but lost control of the ball on the transfer. He then fired it to 2nd base too late but at this time Danks took too long of a turn at 3rd and got caught in no mans land.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned but what did everyone think of Reed's performance? He's still missing right over the middle of the plate for me too much. I do like his demeanor on the mound however and he seems to have the mentality of a closer, but he's going to have to locate his stuff better.

Keep in mind that Konerko in his previous two free agent seasons has produced quite well. It wouldn't surprise me if he hit .300 with 32 hrs this yr.
