  1. Especially considering how much goes to Correa and then Buxton...and they still have Maeda as well in theory second half. Cruz and Donaldson were very expensive for a mid tier payroll.
  2. Sanchez and Jeffers at catcher. Rebuilt entire rotation with Ryan Archer Bundy Paddack Ober Paddack. Added Larnach Celestino and Kiriloff to mix from system.
  3. Poor Sheets can't take his eyes of the ball while turning and running and tracking simultaneously...and then there was the sun. Too difficult to expect him to make the play all things considered.
  4. Goodwin and Hamilton were fine for what they were. And it was four: Rosario Soler Duvall Pederson.
  5. If he had any speed he would have been camped at the base of the wall waiting. Don't drift back...bust ass get there first to the wall and readjust. Outfield Play 101.
  6. But the Sox typically lose patience when a young rookie starts 1/10...leading to more Harrison/Leary. Cycle repeats or perpetuates itself.
  7. Twins and Guardians basically have opposite philosophies of finding guys who can play multiple spots well like Gordon Urshela Arraez...Lewis was going to be another.
  8. he drifted get back to the damn wall as fast as you can then turn for the ball and adjust unless he has been ordered/warned not to run at full speed in the outfield either? so slow it's hard to differentiate 80-85% and Sheets sprinting whatever that actually looks like
  9. Sox fan reacted about as well as Burger down at third. Would have been more fitting had he touched it the way things are going this year.
  10. Whatever they do, the Sox need younger players for those spots and not a growing number of 32+ guys. Sosa could end up at third or taking over the Mendick role...pushing Harrison out in the short term.
  11. He meant Anderson would move off SS at that point in his career...assuming they extended him. Which is questionable at this point with the overall direction of the franchise right now.
  12. There's just no way that Montgomery should be playing in Chicago next year unless they really rush him. Then you're going to play him or Anderson at 2B or 3B? Trade the best hitter in the AL to open SS?
  13. Lopez would arguably take 4-6 weeks to ramp up. He should be used in high leverage situations with Hendriks Graveman Kelly...any of those guys traded to cut payroll and prepare for 2023.
