  1. 85-90% will pick Fletcher…as it is phrased RIGHT NOW.
  2. Fathom Fathom typically panics first over velo, lol. 2 Names
  3. Big part of it is projecting a full season of at bats for Lewis....and improvement from Correa, perhaps better health from Buxton.
  4. All four Central opponents that year pretty similar on offense...248-269 runs scored, Sox best offense and CLE best pitching and defense. White Sox 306. Minnesota underperformed 2019 record setting homer performance.
  5. Have to wonder if any team came close to offering Clevinger even $8-10 million at this point...Bauer is understandable enough, but the character concerns on Gold Digger are going to be outweighed eventually with one lower revenue team hoping to compete. Especially considering he was better than Giolito for the majority of time last year...

  7. https://global.espn.com/football/story/_/id/39378413/whats-gone-wrong-manchester-united-glazer-ownership Feels like the Glazers almost perfectly mirror Reinsdorf and family as EPL owners...
  8. "The big idea, or maybe the big hope, that the Glazers have -- and this was driven by Ed Woodward -- is the emergence of Augmented Reality," a source familiar with the Glazers' business model told ESPN. "The technology is already out there whereby a player could have an AR wearable on his body and a supporter anywhere in the world could pay a small fee to experience a game through the eyes of his favorite player. "Just imagine how much United could generate from their huge global fanbase if supporters were able to pay to be Marcus Rashford or Bruno Fernandes for 90 minutes?" Woodward confirmed to ESPN that AR was seen as a "huge opportunity." https://www.si.com/fannation/name-image-likeness/news/foxs-caitlin-cam-sure-to-boost-iowa-stars-nil-footprint-matt9
  9. Weren't the Guardians in the playoffs with Rosario getting starter's at-bats in 2022? 92-70 and took down the Yankees almost. Sure, he's by def a complimentary and highly streaky player...but you put him not far off Juan Uribe level when he's impacting the game with Xbox hits and stolen bases. Dodgers usually make decent choices...he just was down last year, not unlike most CLE hitters outside of Ramirez and Naylor.
  10. Triple Mt Rushmore 8 Sox 2 Trumps 2 Kushners
  11. Rosario must have priced himself out of market as "best" available SS entering this FA market.
  12. Doesn't explain Clevinger...
  13. Leury Lynn Kopech Keuchel Grifol Montoyo Benintendi Kelly
  14. Sox can still sign Merrifield Taylor + 6-7 more $2-3 million vets and still win the Central lol. Should have saved the Fedde money for now. Niche opportunity to outspend front end of market with other four Central teams now tapped out financially.???
  15. Well, except for the Aroldis Chapman exception.
  16. What's the MLB record for homers in a season by a 5'7" or 5'8" outfielder? Obviously you have Altuve and Pedroia on the infield... https://www.mlb.com/news/shortest-players-to-lead-league-in-home-runs-c289485242 While they're not quite Jose Altuve (5-foot-6) or Ozzie Albies (5-foot-8), the 5-foot-9 Jose Ramirez (33 homers) and 5-foot-10 Khris Davis (32) have made outsized contributions to highlight reels all season long, powering past the big guys in twin bids to become, as it turns out, one of the shortest players in MLB history to lead his league in homers.
  17. Where would the Rays be if you took out the Wander Franco extension that will probably get wiped out?

  19. Except for ranking some of their guys as Top 3-5 MiLB prospects…except everyone in the industry has done that with Salas.
  20. James Fegan. Finally something interesting to talk about with a potential Cease trade on the backburner. Then there’s the stadium project at least.
  21. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/padres/story/2024-02-05/four-padres-ranked-among-the-athletics-top-100-prospects Interestingly, Law gave the Padres just 4 Top 100 but the other ranking services give them 5-6 and #4 and #6 system placements. Sox with 5, but Montgomery pushed way down compared to Salas/Merrill and sporting #18/#20 system rankings so far.
  22. Were there team rankings as well?
  23. This hasn’t already happened? Who would be the second oldest starting catcher in the majors receiving at least 90-100+ starts?
  24. That was the biggest pre-arb deal in history at the time…right around where the Betts extension with the Dodgers was at…at least in terms of guaranteed contract dollars.
