How about they just hire a professional broadcaster as the TV PBP guy? And then leave Stone next to him. It doesn't have to be an ex-player. Get a professional from somewhere. Someone doing post game work somewhere like a Wayne Randazzo or Mike Wills type.

After looking over the schedule, are we positive that Montas won't start one of Friday's games? Shark/Danks on Friday Quintana on Saturday Sale on Sunday Rodon on Monday Shark wouldn't go Tuesday on 3 days rest would he?

I'm guessing that Montas and Saladino will go down Friday night and Albers will return.

Most people that are angry about him not pitching would criticize the Sox for letting him pitch if he happens to get hurt in the game. It's an exhibition game. No reason to have him pitch.

I'd be totally fine with adding Jay Bruce because there's also a DH spot in the AL. I would not entertain trading Q for him though which was entertained in the offseason.

The 4 game series at home against KC after the ASB should give the Sox one last chance to show they can do better within the division since that will probably be the key to moving up in the standings . Frankly I think holding onto Shark would be an epic failure. The Cubs got a boatload for him . Oakland got 3 ML ready players from us plus another player that fit Oaklands style . I don't expect 4 players but should be at least one guy who looks like a decent prospect or more if Shark is packaged with a bullpen arm. I'm not advocating doing this, but unless they trade for more offense, they should probably trade Shark.

If they aren't going to add anyone, then they should probably trade Shark and just put Johnson in his rotation spot.

Spiegel was wondering about this very topic on his show today. They had Merkin on and he said that the media guys always reference KW/Hahn's 3 year big board. THey have it in the office with targets and hypothetical targets for a 3 year period. KW has referenced in the past having guys on there that never make it or never get acquired.
