  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 09:12 AM) In boxing, I forget, do you get the line that it ultimately goes off at, like horseracing? Or do you get the line where it was when you actually wagered? You get the line when you actually wagered I believe. The line started at -2200 and dropped to -500, so my buddy told me we should lock in ASAP. Can't imagine it staying there very long, seems like a function of really early action.
  2. Rodon & Anderson. Otherwise trade anything and everything that results in a quality return.
  3. Well I'm feeling better about throwing some money on Mayweather. The line dropped to -500 which isn't terrible if you think he's pretty much a sure thing to win this thing.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:45 PM) Giolito with a bad looking box score but seems like a lot of soft hits A lot of soft hits and couldn't get a call to save his ass. I wonder how Blair is a framer.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:24 PM) Kopech's command starting to be an issue in his starts. He needs a breather He just needs more development time. It's absolutely incredible he's already in AA given his age and extremely small amount of innings pitched.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:23 PM) When we extend Frazier, we can allow Davidson to man LF. Lol
  7. QUOTE (mac9001 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:11 PM) Giolito hitting 94-95 on the Charlotte gun. The fastball does seem to have a bit more pop today and with the exception of a couple at bats he's commanding it well. And that gun is notoriously slow right? Is he really at 96 to 97 MPH?
  8. QUOTE (daggins @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:00 PM) Gray seems pretty likely to move, i'll agree. He's been decent and has the numbers to back it up. But there's multiple teams that could use a starter for multiple seasons, and Gray getting dealt doesn't preclude a Q trade. Even tho he's been dingered, he's having a pretty decent game tonight. This. Quintana's biggest hinderence is himself. If he pitches better in the coming weeks, I have complete faith a market will be there.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:49 PM) Melky trade value rapidly rising...at the very least, no contract subsidy. I don't think anyone will give up anything but a lottery ticket regardless, but the less of his contract we have to eat the more we can contribute toward someone like Robertson's.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:48 PM) Cueto looks terrible this season. Vargas is someone that will get dealt for quality prospects You literally just said posts ago that teams wouldn't pay up for Quintana because they want pitchers with that throw hard but you think someone will give up quality prospects for Vargas?
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:24 PM) Bulls may be a part of this celtics sixers trade Source?
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:31 PM) To me, Fisher has been slightly disappointing this year. Not a bust by any means, but his hitting should be better in A ball. Definitely agree with this. He's 1 1/2 year older than league average. For a guy who was considered a polished hitter coming out of the draft, I expected more out of him than this in low A.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:32 PM) Sure but it was never going to be a package "between that of Sale and Eaton" I 100% believe it would have been. Maybe closer to the Eaton deal then some of us originally thought, but I really think you are underselling him here.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:29 PM) To me, I just don't think Q is the type of pitcher that other teams will sell the farm for. Teams want the guy with big velocity that they project will dominate in the postseason I think that's true to some extent, but there simply aren't many of those guys available. Someone would have ponied up for Q IMO.
  15. What really sucks is there are multiple farm rich teams looking for a starter including the Dodgers. If Quintana was his vintage self, we'd almost certainly get a nice haul.
  16. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:09 PM) HR or single here for Abreu? Alright, I'll stop jinxing him...
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 07:04 PM) Giolito struggled through the first. Moncada walk again. I was following it, wasn't as bad as the box score would indicate. He was throwing a lot of strikes. Had one long at-bat where he ended up walking the guy. I think he'll rebound and have a strong night.
  18. Flores strong through 4 innings. 4 K, 0 BB, 0 R, 2 H.
  19. Cycle watch in the 2nd inning! Jose with a triple & double after 3 outs!
  20. Melky with a 2 RBI double! 6-0 Sox! Keep this s*** going!
