  1. Sosa, Yolbert and Colas all got hits. Colas double.
  2. I should have clarified - I meant standings wise. We saw this happen last year. Do you think Francona squanders dudes like Sosa? Mendick might not even get hurt if we have the ability to call for a foul ball (I'm also caveating that I assume Darryl Boston isn't on Francona's staff). Francona has shown an ability to get the most out of talent. Current TLR can't. Hahn still can't assemble depth, but the current roster still should have been a contender. I know you disagree, but a fuckton of knowledgeable MLB analysts were on the Sox train in the preseason.
  3. Until I looked at the date I thought Stone was talking about due process for Tony's managerial record this season and was really confused.
  4. Two of my close friends that are Cards fans were at work (but alone), so I tried video calling them when he was at the plate. They both thought I butt dialed them and missed 700 live.
  5. Nah cause he can't assemble depth for s%*#.
  6. My first act is to bring back the He's a Pirate hype video. Second is that the White Sox social media becomes constant s%*# posters. Third is that any time Yoan strikes out, Benetti and Stone are contractually required to call it a desastre personal.
  7. When we sign Aaron Judge, we trade Sheets to the Yankees. He will hit 30 home runs in 81 games. However, they will only be at Yankees Stadium. When he misplays a ball the New York Post headline will say "TAKING A SHEETS IN RIGHT FIELD."
  8. Alright guys, Elmo is our GM. He's busted into Preller's stash. Here's the completely unreasonable Off-Season. Trade Eloy for Jazz Chisholm if the medicals clear out. Might need to do a 3-way deal, but when Eloy hustles he gets hurt. A team might buy into his second half. Re-sign Abreu. He's consistent, tries, and is generally that dude. Give Aaron Judge the single fattest contract you could ever fathom. Hell, give him @fathom. Rebuild the Goose Island, but this time the goose is wearing a judge's robe and wig. I know I can get @bmags on board with His Honorable Judge Goose. Jettison Josh Harrison. Same for Engel. Man's no longer got it. Sign Jose Quintana as your swingman. Give Rodon a contract, even though you're gonna get ripped for losing a pick when you could have gained a pick the previous year. Elmo don't f*** around baby. Nuke the coaching staff. Katz can stay due to getting a Cy Young contender annually and some pretty big bullpen wins (Lopez, Lambert, Banks to a degree), but next year he's on the hot seat. Do a full coaching search. Beg Tito. Jirschele can get a look for bench coach depending how he does with the Desert Dogs. Giolito diets with Justin Fields. If Colas tears up Spring Training, he gets LF to start the year. Pollock as 4th OF. Trade Gavin Sheets somewhere for something. Thank him for his service. Lineup: SS - Anderson CF - Robert RF - Judge 1B - Abreu 3B - Moncada DH - Vaughn C - Grandal 2B - Chisholm LF - Colas Bench: PR / Defensive Sub - Leury, unfortunately. Cut if he starts out bad. 4th OF - Pollock C - Seby Zavala INF - Romy/Mendick Rotation: Cease Rodon Lynn Slim Giolito Kopech Bullpen Hendricks Graveman Lopez Bummer Crochet (piggybacking with Kopech) Kelly Diekman Quintana - 6th starter with Martin. Unfortunately, Elmo is not our GM. So most likely: Sign Wil Myers. Sign Michael Fulmer. Miguel Cairo is named manager after no extensive search. Rest of staff remains, including McEwing, Boston and Menechino. "Health got in the way."
  9. In my mind I keep going back and forth on trading Eloy and I think I lean towards trading him if a team is sold on his second half because...whenever he hustles, he gets hurt.
  10. 2022 White Sox: Hall of Famers past their prime don't mean s%*#
  11. This. This. This. There's a reason They went even on a short run after Cairo just fired them up. We saw them dominate at various points over the last two years. These teams are talented. I'm convinced Francona has them towards the top of the AL, let alone the central.
  12. Vinnie Duber has sounded so free since going over to CHGO vs. the NBC podcast.
  13. scans thread So we should have drafted Kwan at #4 and traded him for Josh Bell, who Juan Soto was packaged with, is what I'm getting from this.
  14. Oh no doubt. But this is just a drawn out joke about how Tony sucks and his injury also hurt the team, but because he stuck around.
  15. Ok. Our 77-year-old manager having health issues related to his heart and falling asleep must be considered.
  16. Do you remember When we had dreams for September
  17. If we had access to Preller's cocaine stash, I'd say trade an Eloy-based package for Jazz (do a 3-way if needed) and back up a truck for Judge. However, we only have access to beer from Binny's. We'll get another reliever and like it.
  18. Bro our 77-year-old manager needing a pacemaker surely must be taken into consideration.
  19. I'm dumping Sheets and assuming Abreu is still around. I said I wouldn't dread it too much. I didn't say love.
  20. It's poetic. Abreu gives us hope. Hahn's sole trade deadline acquisition destroys the hope. La Russa's favorite player ends the game on the weakest fly ball imaginable.
