  1. Yes, I realize this now thanks to Jimmy's non-shouty explanation. I'm used to dudes having to actually be down in the minors for some arcane reason. Let me put in terms you can understand: MLB.HAS.DUMB.RULES.SOMETIMES.THEY.ARE.SHIT.MY.BAD.FOR.MISINTERPRETING.THEM.MLB.STILL.LOVES.FUCKING.OVER.MINOR.LEAGUE.PLAYERS.ESPECIALLY.WHEN.IT.COMES.TO.ARTIFICIALLY.MOVING.TIMELINES.SUCH.AS.THE.INTERNATIONAL.SIGNING.DATE.
  2. If it has no bearing, then it's whatever. I just don't trust MLB to not try and pull a fast one and say "Well, we're having a minor league season, so you get service time when you're called up."
  3. I'm operating under the assumption that because we do have a minor league season, they won't give MiLB players the same courtesy this year. Edit: Because if MLB can screw over minor league players, they will.
  4. Start Vaughn on the MLB roster. Waiting 6 weeks would be asinine.
  5. If you're going to take a potshot like that at him, I recommend spelling peavy44 correctly.
  6. 15 games would be the amount of time you're sitting him in the first place. So now you're adding another two weeks - effectively waiting a whole month. Now what happens if AAA starting gets delayed another two weeks, do you keep him down or call him up, basically admitting that it was all a sham and giving him a great grievance case?
  7. So, the amount of time we were planning on sitting him? And what happens if that gets delayed two weeks?
  8. He's already set for life if you put things in perspective / spend money wisely. It's about whether or not he'd be set up for his children's lives.
  9. I'll give you Kopech and Crochet in a year where AAA is starting on time, but now it's not. If Vaughn doesn't struggle in Spring Training the only reason is the extra year of control.
  10. I just keep think of how this was the year that the Cubs fought so hard to keep Kris Bryant for. If he can help win now, I'd rather get the good will and keep a happy clubhouse culture in place. You look even better in light of places like the Cubs and Seattle
  11. On one hand: HELL YES for Merck / J&J team up. On the other hand: Abbott only had to wait until May, but instead seems intent on fucking over as many people as possible.
  12. I love that they used different colors for the handedness of the batters. It's so fucking over the top.
  13. The current one is iconic and transcends the brand. I see random dudes in Brooklyn rocking it all the time.
  14. Got pushed back and now it overlaps with Shang-Chi, but still super hyped for this.
  15. I mean, we could have just taken on Shields entire contract and not thrown in an athletic LatAm signee.
  16. This Rays stadium mock-up will always be one of the greatest stadium concepts I've ever seen:
  17. Now this is how you promote your song.
  18. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/02/20/us/us-herd-immunity-covid.html? Looking at this model of when we may reach herd immunity is the first thing to give me any semblance of hope.
  19. My parents have been going out to eat a lot and every now and then let it slip how reckless they've been, such as hanging out with a friend all the time. If they were in a pod, I wouldn't care, but it becomes clearer and clearer that they aren't, because they're around their friend's grandchildren. Who go to school. Or they see another friend. I could go on. On Saturday my dad told me "made it" and was "three days away" from the finish line (their shots are scheduled at 2 A.M. Wednesday, but he was counting it as Tuesday for all intents and purposes). I told him he's forgetting about the second shot and that he sounds like every police office that's two days from retirement. I'm glad they're getting the vaccine, but it's really damaged our relationship.
  20. Parents are scheduled for Wednesday in Arizona. I'm scheduled for Thursday in New York.
