  1. I didn't watch the second game. What was with that lineup? We had a chance to sweep. Should have went the "A" lineup. These guys need wins more than rest. Coddle them like babies and they act that way.

Maybe he will have a good second half. Could happen.
  3. I was at the game where there was a fire. I seem to remember it being in leftfield. A lot of smoke and a stadium full of people. I don't remember panic but it was frightening. if there was a stampede it would have been a disaster for the ages. My wife and I got out of Sox Park fast. It all calmed down pretty quick, but the sight of smoke and flames in a crowded stadium has stuck with me forever.
  4. Seby had a great game behind and at the plate. Anderson actually looked good at short. Say what you want about Donaldson being an ass, but the man can play.
  5. Soxcess! Glad we didn't quit in April?
  6. Looking at the pitching matchup and lineups, it looks pretty even for tonight's game. Both teams on small winning streaks. Minor advantage to the home team? Is my memory wrong if I think Giolito rises to the occasion in NY?
  7. There should be an Eddie Stanky plaque in the White Sox dugout for inspiration.
  8. Once you get them down just keep kicking. South side logic.
  9. If he didn't make it its on him. No one else. Grow up and take responsibility for your actions or inactions.
  10. I thought you wrote them off?
  11. They won. Just be happy. Join the party for a little while.
  12. Hot time Summer in the city! Never ever give up!! Who was gonna play the infield if we went extras?
  13. There is no patience in the game today. Not only batters but management and especially fans want big hits and they want them now. Walks don't get hurrahs. You gotta swing in order to hit the ball. Team play is gone. The little things are laughable. Only the big splash gets you the acclaim and money.
  14. I'd like to disagree but I can't
  15. Every game is essential for the Sox at this point. Burger hits the cover off the ball at home and Romy has been hot. What are you saving them for? Play them.
  16. Winning is better than losing. We take that won. Lets roll about 5 or 6 more and have some hot time in the city fun.
  17. Exactly. Selling low will not net them much and they don't have anything coming up in the minors. They may as well go with what they have and keep their fingers crossed. Either get hot enough as a group to get back in it or individuals get hot enough to entice some teams into surrendering some young talent. Selling off on 6/1 will clearly be seen as desperation. Teams are not shopping now but will steal from you if you let them. Wait for teams needing additions to come calling. They will.
  18. Now c'mon this is titled Vaughn vs Abreu. It isn't about Benintendi Kimbrel Rodon Pollack and the myriad of other mistakes he has made. In this case he did good. Let him win when he wins. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Seems as though he hasn't been the same since he signed his extension or maybe since the knee injury. It was risky giving him so much money at his age and his physical condition or lack of conditioning. He started strong for them and of course hindsight is 20/20. This is one guy who did better under LaRussa. The father figure during his early career. I liked the signing when they did it. I didn't like the extension so soon. He is not the same player the White Sox originally signed only 2 years ago.
  20. Hahn was right when he said they were "mired in mediocrity". Unfortunately if he said that again he would be right again. I see the White Sox as a bunch of individuals not a team.
  21. Everyone here is free to condemn or defend this franchise. I might not agree with what you say but I will defend your right to say it. Why can't this team get over the top and finish wins? They are competitive in almost every game. Is it leadership? Experience? Talent? Baseball stupid? It seems to be a different reason most every night. I can't believe other teams draft or assemble more talented or smarter players. individuals yes but a team? Very frustrating to be so close every game but yet in the standings so far away.
  22. I think that sounds right.
  23. Ok, thats gonna happen or not happen. On to today's game. Can young Mr.Kopech reel in his control and composure and toss another gem? Even with that will the defense and baserunning and bullpen not ruin it? Can we muster more than 3 hits? Maybe home cooking will help. Vaughn is in a scary slump. He looks bad for awhile now. I predict him, sheets and Burger key this game. BTW who goes down when Liam is activated?
