  1. I get it but I still don't like it, This game counts too.
  2. With Hays and Pereira soon coming off IR and BMont hopefully coming up is it time to cut Acuna and eat the Benintendi contract? Or is it Hill and Kelenic who go?
  3. Antonacci's enthusiasm is a breath of fresh air and contagious. I actually go into watching the games now without that "how are they going to lose feeling". It feels great having the old optimism, but after what we have been through the last few years I'm still cautious........................Don't stop now boys!
  4. How about our guys score some runs for Fedde tonight. Take the first game of the series always a good thing. Skies don't look so good right now and it is drizzling.
  5. Can't win 'em all. Take the series today.
  6. Winning the first game makes winning another series very possible, even likely, Yes, I just wrote......Winning.......ANOTHER..........series. After what we have been through the last few seasons its very hard to truly believe, but even the most pessimistic among us must be feeling some lift over the last month. Years past gave some good pitching, and sometimes good hitting occasionally solid defense and seldom smart baserunning, but never could our Sox put all together at the same time. Recently they have been hitting on all cylinders. Winning is fun and fun is winning. Don't stop now boys.
  7. I feel like there is too much over reaction to this minor move.
  8. Who are those guys?
  9. Who knows whether our Sox are truly a contender or just on a hot streak? Either way I'm enjoying the hell out of this team right now. In order to have a .500 record on June first they must play 3 games over for May. Can they? It's so refreshing to look at the standings and not have my eyes go directly to the bottom. Don't stop now boys!
  10. That first rebuild was cursed.
  11. As of this post the Sox are the only team in the division with a winning record in the last ten games and they are 1.5 games out of first. Pump them up or tear them down. Those are facts.
  12. I believe they are .500 for the month of April
  13. Well just for fun, as of this morning 4/28 our Sox are the only team in the division with a winning record in the last 10 games. 3 games out of first.
  14. Let's take another series today.
  15. Benintendi has actually been hitting a little lately and leading off. Today we are facing a right hander with a 9.15 ERA. So Venable has Pereira leading off..... Huh?
  16. How about this? The weather has warmed here in Chicago and may the Home Run barrage continue. Two series wins on this homestand seem possible. I feels good to actually be considering this as possible intead of just hoping.
  17. Take another series tonight.
  18. He reminds me of Matt Thornton. 100 mph, but straight.
  19. 2out of 3 in Oakland...oops Sacramento. We'll take it and forget about the middle game. That ballpark sure looked full for 12,000 people.
  20. On the other side of that ,it seems players are better once they leave and play for other teams. Players coming in get worse. Players leaving get better. It seems to happen too often to just be coincidental.
  21. The most positive thing I can say is................Nevermind there isn't anything positive.
  22. This s%*# show the Sox are putting on the field just keeps getting stinkier. Announced attendance 10,193. 7 of the 8 batters in the starting lineup hitting under.200---yes under.200! And the beat goes on.
