Yeah that’s fine, not an exact science there just a baseline ask.
just saying in general pairing guys together usually doesn’t max out return value. It makes some sense at a trade deadline for expiring contracts when you have that deadline to work against, but that’s not the case here.
I can’t imagine packaging them together would maximize value.
I think you could reasonably ask for basallo, kjerstad, Ortiz just for cease, with minor adjustments being made here or there.
robert is worth more than Rodriguez and cowser.
His 2.2 fWAR is worth 18M by the same evaluation system, so yes it’s tolerable.
performance wise, as I mentioned. Everyone knows his personal life is questionable and pointing it out doesn’t make you a better person.
Regardless of what you think of him as a person, he performed well on the field.
edit: before this is misconstrued or whatever, I’m merely saying his on field performance doesn’t really merit mockery. Other stuff, that’s fair game.
I found a way to get Griffey and Bonds in the same outfield….and we really didn’t have to give up that much!
for real though, not trading Tatis Jr. for shields is just the outside the box thinking that this franchise needs.
