  1. My god, Moore looked open several plays right there. And yet again, he held on to the ball too long
  2. Great first drive by the Bears offense.
  3. There’s no other possibility but them sucking. I’d be more impressed with Getz making the 2024 team a playoff contender, than I would be our 2005 WS championship. It’s a wasted year without direction, and I dont even need to see the collection of bums they collect during the offseason to determine that.
  4. I wonder if they’ll even have the courage to do that midseason, regardless of how Fields looks. Whenever Bagent finds himself in a game, whether because of a blowout or injury, the QB controversy will begin.
  5. I hope you haven’t watched the 1st quarter, so far
  6. He’s another coward like the rest of them. “Jerry wants to win.” How!? How in the world are they going to create a contender entering next season? Even considering the weakness of the division, I’d say it’s near impossible.
  7. Another legend passed, Terry Funk https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10087082-wwe-hall-of-famer-terry-funk-dies-at-age-79
  8. I’m fooling myself to believe Getz and Moore are just filling positions until the team is sold, ideally before the offseason.
  9. An extremely negative article breaks on Crain concerning the White two days ago, then yesterday - of all days - just happens to be the time they decide to fire Hahn and Williams? On a Tue? I’m willing to believe it was an attempt to distract from the relocation discussion.
  10. I’m sure both sabotaged him, JR directly and KW indirectly through JR. That’s in addition to Hahn screwing himself over with one bad decision after another.
  11. That’s what I’m wondering as well. Can you really hate JR more, knowing this information, than you did before?
  12. Think about this from Reinsdorf perspective, he may not be alive when the stadium deal expires in six years. Crain is a very reputable publication, so he is definitely putting this out there to set the groundwork for getting what he wants — the best deal possible. If he can earn more from a potential buyer floating the idea of relocating the team, then that is what will happen. If the team remains in Chicago, there will be some significant improvements to the neighborhood and/or stadium on the backs of the taxpayer. Which will only be done with the purpose of enriching himself and the investors once the team is sold. If you just answer every question with, what will earn Jerry Reinsdorf the most money, you will probably be on the right track.
  13. But we’ll be able to trade him in the winter when there are more teams looking for pitching!!!!!
  14. He’s indirectly suggesting those traded were dealt to improve the clubhouse. A sly way of hinting that anything they’ve said cannot be considered truthful. Thats how I interpret Hahn speak in this instance
  15. He cited Vaughn and Kopech’s roles as peacemakers during the fight as example of leadership on the team. Ok..
  16. “Pedro has done a great job” well, that’s all I need to hear. I guess everything is going well, he said so.
  17. I don’t believe the Grandal/TA issue distracts from Grifol, though. If anything it’s a direct example of his players doing whatever the hell they please without repercussion. And it also implicates Hahn because, there’s no way he didn’t know of that when it happened. He should’ve sent Grandal packing.
  18. I’m less excited now hearing they’re both involved. Hahn will be giving “unwavering support for his manager”
  19. I don’t know but i applaud the effort. Especially if this is all being done to force the hand of management. Keep the stories coming. Next one they should try to include Moncada
  20. I do like how this is all accelerating and everything is coming out.
  21. I thought it was flavum making up something, but the podcast headline is about a Grandal/Anderson physical altercation
  22. If that’s it, I believe it’s fair. It acknowledges Ramirez started everything by mouthing off, approaching Anderson, then pointing a finger near his face. However, if it had ended there; would anything have happened? Maybe an ejection for Ramirez. Maybe. I would doubt anything more. But cmon, Anderson escalated it to being physical. If anything, he deserves even more time for wobbling down like Glass Joe after the punch to his face
  23. I could see them having a few current players speak to the media in support of Grifol. To atleast give the illusion everything is ok and they publicly support their manager
  24. These players look at the top and see a cheap owner who doesn’t seem to care, followed by a GM who has made minimal efforts to improve the roster during a supposed “championship window.” Then add in TLR’s hiring followed by Grifol’s low-energy hire. No one above them seemingly cares about winning or going outside their comfort zone. So the players of course, like our own children, push the boundaries. Who is going to say otherwise?
  25. excellent. No way to spin this now, not just a lowly reliever commenting on these team issues.
