  1. I might be crazy but I think that if he stayed healthy, we’re looking at a top fifteen prospect
  2. The 30 teamer is poppin’ right now. We’ve gone trade crazy.
  3. That's totally fair and another criticism is that the previous drafts before the rebuild have not yielded enough fruit to truly get the pipeline off the ground running. Like how the Cubs had draft Javy Baez the year before Theo came to town
  4. Just looking at the rebuild period, I don't think that we would be having this conversation if it weren't for Jake Burger and his injuries. I think Madrigal is going to turn out to be a good player. I know there's a good amount of people here who are down on him but we have to remember that he played competitive baseball from February to October and suffered a wrist injury during that stretch as well. This upcoming draft is extremely important to the Sox, they need to land a star with his pick.
  5. Fangraphs always post links to job postings from every club and scouting/analytics service on their site because their readers are usually the type of people who are qualified/interested in these kind of jobs. Delete your account
  6. Terrible f***** take. He’s a first round pick and a highly regarded relief prospect. He’s recovering from a major injury and everyone responds to injuries differently. Cutting Burdi would be such a terribly stupid thing to do. He still has a ton of promise and TJS is not a death sentence.
  7. Ibanez, Bannister, Baldelli (if he isn’t hired), and Josh Paul for me.
  8. Avi Garcia for Jon Gray, who says no?

I just saw Halloween and it was a frustrating experience. I thought the movie was good as a whole but there’s some really bad moments and choices made that stop it from being great. There’s a scene where one of the characters looks directly at the camera and gives their entire backstory. Towards the end of the film, there’s a reveal about one of the characters that’s really cool but it’s almost immediately brushed aside. And there’s a lot of forced comedy. Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic and it’s a shame that the movie didn’t focus on her more. The movies cuts to a lot of side stuff, a lot of which doesn’t amount to anything in the end. The actress who played the granddaughter was pretty good. I really wish the entire movie had the same amount of tension and atmosphere as the last 20 minutes, which was phenomenal. Ill hold off on spoilerly stuff.
  10. 3 years and $45M ($15M AAV) 2019: $25M 2020: $10M 2021: $10M
  11. I’m of the opinion that the Sox should move Collins off of C and move him to 1B to get the bat in the ML lineup as soon as possible. I also believe that with that move, his bat will get better. Maybe have him as the backup catcher, so he can work on his craft at ML level.
  12. He can play CF too.
  13. I meant to post this here...
  14. Quick scouting report on CJ Abrams from Perfect Game
  15. You should be picking BPA with every pick
  16. I’m not a fan of the idea of using the third overall pick in the draft to select a DH. I think the Sox system really lacks athletes and could use more up the middle talent, even after signing Robert and drafting Madrigal and Walker with their first two picks this past season.

I’m reading Morrissey’s autobiography right now and I’m fully convinced that all I want in the world is a Smiths reunion. Still probably the strangest band break up ever. I read some of Johnny Marr’s autobiography and I’m of the thought that Morrissey was in love with Johnny Marr, which caused the band to split. Just very weird.
  18. It’s like Tim Anderson didn’t take huge strides this year.
  19. I was all for trading for Yelich as long as the cost centered along pitching prospects not named Kopech but what would’ve arguably set the Sox and their timeline back. I applaud the Sox for sticking to their guns and not trying to cheat this process, to painful now but the reward will be worth it.
  20. I'd leave Moncada at 2B, I think any and all talk of him moving off the position is very premature. Development takes time, I expect him to take the next step with the glove next year.
  21. I don’t get this type of thinking... The goal should be to get the highest draft pick possible, so that the Sox can get the best possible players during the draft. The same people who are rooting for the Sox to win these truly meaningless games are the same people who are going to be mad that the Sox for missing out on (Insert Player Here). And there’s a big difference between having the third worst record and the fifth worst record. That affects how much money you have to spend on amateur players in the draft and on J2. And to suggest that the number of losses is indicative of the progress of the rebuild in absolutely insane. What’s so hard to understand about this process?
  22. The news about Kopech took a lot out of me as a fan and really sent me into a baseball depression, so I haven’t been following the team as much since then.
  23. With young arms, I can’t see them not keeping that extra bullpen arm.
