The Mighty Mite

If it wasn’t for big Jim Thompson the Sox would be in Florida, a last minute miracle in Springfield kept the Sox in Chicago but here we are for the 4th time in my life time talking about the Sox moving again.

I agree, we don’t know much about Ishbia but he has to be better than JR.

I thought maybe he stubbed a toe while sleepwalking. Vargas not playing either, have we actually had our best lineup out there in any game this year, seems like our manager is averse to that.

TLR is scary looking.

Lenyn Sosa to the IL with hip strain, so Rojas moves to 2nd, Vargas back to 3rd and Elko on 1st.

I attended a game at old Connie Mack Stadium in Filthydelphia back in 1967, both Wrigley and old Comiskey are palaces compared to that dump.

We could have used some of those runs in the Baltimore series.

I agree, I think Tauchman and Slater were good signings and even though it’s a rebuild you still need some veteran presence to help the youngsters along, having Benintendi around helps also.

Some rest to take the pressure off and some adjustments like they did with Vargas.

OK we got an explanation on why Robert out.

I missed what Schriffen said why Robert is out.

Horrible calls by the home plate, missed 2 strikes and close for a 3rd.

Off topic question but why are most Soccer stadiums especially in Europe and now in America built with right angles in the corners copying the field, should be some curvature like American Football stadiums so fans don’t need neck surgery after a game as they have to be craning their necks quite a bit. That was one of the bad things about old Comiskey if you were sitting in the low boxes down by the foul poles.

Wow, looks like if the Sox get a new stadium it will be in Arlington Hgts unless there’s enough room for 2 stadiums at the 78.

Of the 4 professional sports in America, MLB is in the worst shape, it’s the have’s vs the have nots plus owners who are willing to spend and those who won’t, how can teams compete with the Dodgers and Yankees who have payrolls of over 320 million dollars. MLB definitely needs a salary cap otherwise we might see some franchises dissolved.

OK by me, Fletcher is doing pretty good with Charlotte.

Getz needs to shake the roster up, start by DFAing Rojas and Palacios and trading Robert for anything they can get for him, anyone down in the minors would be better than those 3. PS Schriffen is an idiot.

Wouldn’t put it pass JR and company.

Hell, let him bat 9th.

Season not even half over so I hate to jinx things but in this day and age I never thought I would see a team as bad as the 2024 White Sox but here we are a year later and the Rockies are reaching new levels of suckage.

Ryne Sandberg was hitless in his first 41 at bats in his official rookie year with the Cubs. He was 1 for 6 the year before in a September call up.

So you are saying that maybe 100,000 or more tickets were discounted then JR didn’t have to pay rent, very interesting.

I really thought that after that last game with the Mets that they were going to go on a bit of a roll. Again I was duped.

Ozzie just said to expect changes tomorrow. It’s too early to start thinking about a manager change but I’d like to see some emotion out of the guy and some of the players, I’d like to see Robert to maybe kick the water cooler or break a bat over the knee after another strike out like Bo Jackson, of course knowing Robert he’d probably hit his knee cap and go on the IL for 8 weeks.

We’ve had quite a few winnable games with damn good pitching but the offense is just pathetic.
