  1. Rick Hahn: The World is watching. Wake up.
  2. Per multiple twitter sites. Not sure if these are guys the Sox were interested in, but any catcher with a pulse interests me.
  3. 1. Anderson 2. Montas 3. Trey M. 4. Fulmer 5. Danish 6. Adams 7. May 8. Micah 9. Hawkins 10. Engel
  4. trade Samardzija before something bad happens to him
  5. Anderson four hits and three stolen bases in two seven inning games.
  6. and still we watch, hoping for miracles.
  7. won't be missed -- not the way he played this season. We need a real 3B, a SS, a catcher and another outfielder. (I still have hope for Sanchez to be a league average player.)
  8. one of these years the Sox will have a five-tool outfielder make the list. Right? RIGHT?
  9. It's a pay article, but here is the link: http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/mids...date-white-sox/ A dis for Courtney Hawkins -- and Trayce Thompson. And here is their list: 1. Tim Anderson, SS 2. Frank Montas, RHP 3. Spencer Adams, RHP 4. Micah Johnson, 2B 5. Trey Michalczewski, 3B 6. Jacob May, OF 7. Micker Adolfo, OF 8. Chris Beck, RHP 9. Courtney Hawkins, OF 10. Tyler Danish, RHP
  10. Fox should be in there. Appling, too.
  11. Hamels and Cueto are the only better pitching options out there. Although a team trading for Shark only gets him for two months, it is a seller's market. Got to take advantage of that. Dump LaRoche simply to shed the salary for next year. Rather see the DH spot filled by a group of guys who can play multiple spots. Melky on occasion. Or Avi. Even Micah Johnson. Might be able to get something for Petricka or Putnam. And get Gillaspie out of town ASAP.
  12. Even Danks knows it's time for him to exit the rotation.
  13. amen. most enjoyable game of the year. five DPs. Kept the crowd quiet. Scored late. Broke in a new face.
  14. yeah. now send Gillaspie out da door.
  15. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 03:16 AM) Interested to see him. He can defend, and it's tough to be offensively worse than our current starting middle infield would be happy to see Saladino at 3B. Ready for Gillaspie exit. He's stealing money -- and at bats.
  16. Saladino not playing tonight makes me vote that he'll be in town Friday.
  17. Seriously doubt Albers is coming up. Gave up 5 runs in 2/3 of an inning. No way they would have pitched him Thursday night if they needed him Friday afternoon in Chicago. He's chum. Saladino, on the other hand, did not play. I'll vote that he's in town, especially with Alexei iffy,
  18. i expect johnson to be in the lineup thursday.
  19. anybody know when jacob may will play again?
  20. anybody know when Jacob May will play again?
  21. just trying to find some prospects to get excited about, other than the usuals like Anderson, May, Hawkins, Michalczewski. Thompson has seemed to make slight improvement this season, but still doesn't look like anything more than a fourth outfielder who can help with the glove and his legs. Ditto for Davidson, at least with an improved batting average. Maybe DiMichele. Or Jake Peter. Doesn't seem to be any real excitement around Kevan Smith. Nieto has been a major disappointment. With only one pick in the first three rounds this year, and that one likely targeted for a pitcher, just hoping another position prospect emerges.
  22. thanks for pulling all that info together again. What about Austin and Lechich? And they showing anything?
  23. With Hawk, Stone, DJ, Farmio and Melton, the average age of that fivesome is 65. 65!!! The Sox have needed to get younger and more in tune with current culture and baseball analytics in the booth for a long time. Swirsky is not the answer. His goal of letting Stone analyze is admirable because Stone does know the game. Stone seems like a guy who has had the cuffs taken off his vocal chores and he is going to enjoy every minute of it. But Swirsky seems like a guy who knows ZERO about the Sox, the American League, the farm system or anything. At some point on the telecast, shouldn't there be discussions about what the Sox can do about their issues at catcher, second base and third base. How long do you keep waiting on Sanchez? When do you pull the plug on Flowers and look for another solution? Is it time to make the move to Davidson? Swirsky is not a great story teller or particularly funny either. Bottom Line is that the Sox should view this as a wakeup call to improve their TV product in the booth. That's unlikely to happen because Hawk will be able to stay as long as he chooses. But in a competitive media market, the Sox need to do better than the arrangements of the last five or so years.
  24. Don't think this is anything more calculating than Williams letting off steam, verbalizing what most fans are feeling. My guess is they are greatly surprised that LaRoche and Cabrera have not been better. Other than Avi, not one guy has performed at or above expectations on offense.
