Acuna is really hard to watch.

Raining in Charlotte so Hagen likely done. 5ip 4h 2r 2er 1bb 7K so a positive start if not dominate.

Sandlin looks pretty good. Physically reminds me of Burke.

5/27 Games
Smith has pitched 4 innings with 1bb and 7K. Gave up a two run HR. Not horrible certainly.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
This certainly takes some of the sting out when they inevitably DFA Acuna. Good athlete. Could never get his lefty swing going.

Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
If the Sox had any outfielders, I'd suggest platooning Meidroth and Antonacci. But with the dearth that exists, both will be playing every day for a while.

Game 2 Twins at White Sox 6:40 Ryan vs. Burke
Sandlin pitches tomorrow. Fedde keeps his spot

Game 2 Twins at White Sox 6:40 Ryan vs. Burke
The Sox usually bring starters up days before their start so they can do a side session and then activate them on game day. Sandlin might be up for Fedde.

David Sandlin getting called up, Schultz to IL with knee injury
If so, the player to be named better be Roman Anthony. Good lord he's been bad.

David Sandlin getting called up, Schultz to IL with knee injury
Gabe Davis, last year’s 5th round pitcher from OK St. who is off to a promising start while facing — say it with me — limited pitch counts.

David Sandlin getting called up, Schultz to IL with knee injury
I hope to God they plan on starting Sandlin. He is the only guy left standing from their starter depth in AAA. He threw 71 pitches his last time out. I could see him throwing 85 to 90 his next time out. That may be 5 innings. That’s better than a lot of their starters lately. Fun fact: He works out in the offseason in the same place as Davis Martin and Gabe Davis, which is owned by former Sox reliever Lane Ramsey. As far as who’s going down? I dunno.

2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/V.Lackey closing fast
I don't know why anyone cares how catchers age. The Sox are unlikely to be the team that gives whoever they draft their second contract. Sox are drafting for the first 6 years. I'm a Roch man myself. I don't trust guys who pop up with a previously uncharacteristic offensive performance during their draft year. Lackey was a glove-first guy coming into this year, while Roch has a track record of performance. But I think a catcher, especially one who can play other positions, isn't a bad bet in and of itself.

Getaway Day in San Francisco. May 24
So far Schultz does not have a swing and miss pitch today. Add the number of non-competitive balls, they’ll be lucky to get 4IP out of him

Getaway Day in San Francisco. May 24
Damn I hate watching Acuna play baseball.

5/24 Games
He is in there now. Appears to be splitting with Hays for some reason.

Peyton Pallette likely to be returned to Sox
Pallette does not throw enough strikes. That has been his problem for a while. Once mlb hitters figured that out, he was toast. I hope he figures it out, but he nibbles with breaking stuff rather than attacking the zone early and then using spin to finish guys off. 16 bb in 20 IP just not gonna cut it.

Pedro Grifol set to become head coach of Florida International University
I think Grifol was destined to coach college. Too rigid for pro ball players.

Trade Proposals
.721 for an elite defender at shortstop would be a pretty valuable player in the mlb. That said, Carlson is a 19 year old who needed significant swing changes. Very hard to say what he’s gonna be. I certainly wouldn’t be avoiding Rich cuz I am afraid of blocking Carlson. He’s a true wait and see prospect.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Robin Ventura who can play above average shortstop would be a pretty darn good outcome.

5/18 White Sox @ Seattle 8:40pm CDT: Schultz vs Woo
Why not Acuna at 2b? He’s pretty brutal in cf.

Teel suffers LCL sprain (Pg. 5), out 3-6 weeks
This news absolutely blows. He’s gonna end up missing the entire first half once he’s healthy and has to get a couple weeks to get back up to speed.
