Keeping Elko in the Minors and having Vaughn starting every day tells me this organization is content with losing.
-
I would like to know what Elko is thinking. He has to be down in the dumps thinking what does he have to do to be promoted.
-
I hope they don't remove the parking lots at the Rate. Its one of the reasons I go there. The parking lots are great.
-
The team has had trouble scoring runs the last 2 seasons and yet they won't bring up their hottest minor league hitter. Seems rather odd. Perhaps ownership just doesn't like Elko.
-
Hats are great!!!!
-
Elko deserves a shot. It looks like its not going to happen anytime soon.
-
I've believed that ownership has been content with this losing team and LOW PAYROLL. Still, how can they be content with this situation of Vaughn? I would imagine that Elko can't be too thrilled still being in the Minors.
-
Meidroth, Quero, Baldwin, Shane Smith, Davis Martin And Cannon are on the team now. Elko should be up this year. Teel, Braden Montgomery, Noah Schultz, Hagen Smith and Grant Taylor will probably be on the team next year. It looks to me that the team will start to be alot better next year.

I'm under the impression Vaughn is one of the highest paid members on the team. I can't imagine him being DFA. Something has to be done. Elko desrves a chance. Hope its sooner rather than later. -

Robert Jr has never been the same hitter after he got hurt last season. It looks to me like the injury he suffered last year has turned him into a much worse hitter. -

How much longer are they going to start Vargas. He looks like he couldn't hit me. I don't know who they would play at third but there should be a change sooner rather than later. -
You might be right about losing fans. I'm sure you remember how bad the Chicago Cardinals were their last 10 years in Chicago. When they left to go to St. Louis not too many people cared. Losing year after year took a toll on their fan base.
-
Very simple, he's making nothing but money with this bad team. Low payroll=more moola for the owner.
-
Obviously JR doesn't care how bad the team is.
-
Yes the team is disgraceful but even worse is that ownership is content with this situation. As long as the payroll is low and their making nothing but money, that's all that seems to matter to them.
-
One of the few highlights watching the White Sox the last few years was watching the pre and post game shows on TV. Most fans thought that Frank Thomas was tremendous on those shows. Yet he is not on the shows this year. I can't help but wonder why he wasn't brought back.

Another guy who seems to have sold his soul to JR is Steve Stone. He has become a big time houseman for JR.
-
Getz rubs me as if he does what he is told to do by JR. It doesn't say much for him as a person. I realize that these GM jobs don't come around very often. But still, if I'm right about him following orders from JR he should resign. He can't be baseball stupid and has to realize this team isn't any good. He could have easily made this team better this off season and didn't. I've mentioned in the past how I wanted to be interviewed for the GM job by JR. If JR would have had the good sense to hire me and if I had my hands tied by him I would resign.

The team always had trouble drawing big crowds in April. I'm beginning to believe that small crowds will happen during the warmer months.
-
At the beginning of the season I didn't think the team could lose more games than last season. I'm starting to think it could happen.
-
I realize its not going to happen but wouldn't it be something to see JR hold a press conference and take questions from the media?
-
For years fans were always led to believe that JR liked baseball more than basketball. I don't believe it. A few months ago JR announced that he was spending millions of dollars on the area around The United Center. If he likes baseball so much was it too much for him to spend some money for some hitters on the White Sox this past off season? I've lived thru some bad years. The 1968-1970 teams were bad. And 4 of the 5 teams Veeck owned his 2nd ownership were bad also. This is a new low. The team can't hit. The middle of the order Robert Jr, Vaughn and Vargas don't look like they can hit me. If you traded these 3 guys in a package you wouldn't get a decent player in return. You would think if an owner really cared about baseball he would be ashamed with this present team. I've touched on this before that this situation is okay with JR having the low payroll. Low payroll= big profits for the owners. How much money does he need?
-
If JR had spent some money this past off season on 2 hitters the record would be alot better. Obviously he is content with this losing team AND LOW PAYROLL.
-
This team is so bad I'm beginning to think the crowds will even be small during the warmer months. The team simply isn't any good and most of all can't hit. I noticed that the White Sox have 10 bobblehead giveaways this year. Not one bobblehead is of any present player. Every bobblehead is of somebody from the past.
-
When JR bought the team he signed free agents Fisk and Luzinski which made the fan base happy. I would think new owmers would go the same route and sign some free agents.
