Another losing effort in an already lost season - may as well try to make some (good) history. I tuned in just this inning to see if he’d get it.

Started following MLB at 8 years old - in ‘83. Fisk, Baines, The Bull, roof shots, and Winnin’ Ugly. Waited in line for 2 hours to get Kittle’s autograph at Service Merchandise, and that was it ?. So, the Sox caught at least one kid at just the right time. One more year and I’d probably be a Cubs fan.

I can see both: “I hate the pitch clock” and “I hate this place now”. Given the circumstance (TA getting booed because he didn’t take second on a passed ball), I think “this place” is more likely.

Yeah, it's not like the NBA or NFL drafts where the guy is on the team next year. They pick him up and it's "cool, see you in 4 or 5 years if you don't flame out...".

When the Cardinals left, my family (before my time) switched to the Packers. There were some Wisconsin ties, and it just stuck. Green Bay and White Sox fans - it’s an odd mix

That’s a good question… do we follow the “new” team or switch to one more local? Or just stop paying attention to MLB? I’d probably start rooting for the Brewers.
