Hey, Abum got an out when it counts. Did he do something last year to piss off the Sox? Seems like he started slow, got it together and started getting people out, but still got sent down. I think he pitched better than other guys at AAA and still got passed over for recalls too. Any one hear some thing about that.

Cease is probably 2 good starts away from Chicago. We're already past the 7th season nonsense. Just bring him up and monitor his innings. I might go to a game to see him pitch.

Is it time to release Adam Engel? Is it time to play Charlie Tilson for a few months? Tilson is probably just a AAAA player but so what. He's worked hard to come back from a devastating injury and should be rewarded. I think after 3 years, every one knows AE will never hit enough to matter. It's time for a new face and Tilson is the best available.

I hope not. He can dominate but gets wild some times. A high leverage reliever has to throw strikes. Of course, who knows if his arm can hold up to pitching 200 innings a year.

That may be true. I'm only 57 so I don't remember him. My first Sox memories start with Walt Williams, Carlos May, Bill Melton and managerial wise Chuck Tanner.

Every one screws the pooch at one time or another. His first 3-5 years he was the best manager we ever had(Chuck Tanner). I doubt we'll ever bring him back, but some one else could get an excellent manager on the cheap. He wants another chance, and he'd work for peanuts to get it.

I think Gavin Sheets is making the adjustment to AA pitching. 7 walks 48 at bats, 9 hits in his last 29 ab. I really hope he starts driving the ball one day because he's a good fielder at 1st. With his batting eye he'll have a high enough OBP to be an asset if he can get 50 XBH's a year.

Should Luis Robert skip AA and go straight to Charlotte? He'd probably face better off speed stuff in AAA and that's the last thing before MLB. Add Madrigal to the list as well.

All Bernardo Flores does is pitch. If he was a high draft pick, he'd be in the majors now. Keep an eye on Codi Heur.

Probably right. At least now there is a reason to watch. Add Cease,Robert ,Madrigal to the mix and look out.

Who cares. If the Sox hadn't made the trade and kept those guys we still would have sucked. Maybe Rutherford develops and maybe he doesn't, but he has shown the ability to hit and catch.
