Burger goes deep, Collins and Zavala both 2-2 so far

I think Burger is going to pan out nicely.

There were higher upside players they could have taken, but I think he's going to fit a role in the window of winning in a few years that's going to be needed.

Burger 3-4 with a HR and 4 RBIs. That's a day.

Collins as DH gets 2 hits, been a while since I remember a multi hit game for him (I'm sure someone will say he had one like last friday but we're working off MY memory)

Glad to see Nunez back. Hopefully he shows enough to make full season ball next year.

I'm really hoping we sport a lineup like this at Kannapolis next year:

1B: Reyes

2B: Nunez

SS: Curbelo

3B: Yurchak

LF: Dedelow

CF: Gonzalez

RF: Mercedes

C: Perez

DH: Zangari

That would be the most age appropriate we've sported in low A in years.

OBP machine. Quickly becoming one of my favorite prospects in the system.

The issue for Yurchak seems to be defensively. He's already committed 6 errors in only 17 games in rookie ball.

Unless the defense improves it will be tough for him to advance very far in the system.

Zavala 3-3

Is he considered a prospect in the slightest? Amazing arm behind the dish, solid defense, and now a power bat that's increasing contact, almost 24 but probably our 3rd best C prospect behind Collins and Skoug now

With this season, and the rarity of good catching, he has to have a ton of value right now. Age isn't nearly as big of a deal when it comes to catching prospects.

Considering the sox recent philosophy of drafting bats first, I don't think it'll be crippling for him.
