Sure, why not?

Hahn is trolling us.

Code Red.

The level of BLEH to this signing is significantly high.

The pitcher situation is honestly hilarious at this point

He will likely replace Despaigne, the worst callup in history.

This probably means that Cease won't be called up this year.

Yup.  They aren't going to waste his service time after he fell apart recently, and it makes sense.  Sign two starters this offseason and then ease Cease into the crease next year if he is doing well at AAA.

I'd rather have Santiago start than Despaigne. They both stink though.

Can "Big Game" Shields be far behind?

Cease will be called up at some point this year.

I am no longer thinking this is the case considering his 4.69 ERA.

He will be. But it might be more of an August type thing at this rate. Still crossing my fingers for July.

3rd time's the charm ?

I actually think the first time was the charm.  Pretty good to turn Hector into Eaton into Giolito.  Remember when Hector made the All Star team ahead of Quintana?  He’s had a weird career.

There was a time when Hector was very good.  Hope he has something left since he is only 31.

Back when his screwball was a money pitch.

Why not give Detwiler a shot? What do they have to lose at this point?

He may come if Despaigne DFA'd while Santiago works in AAA to possibly replace him.

I think Jerry Kutzler has that beat...or Jose Paniagua in 2003.
