For future payroll purposes, have they defined exactly how many games out of 60 we're going to have to play to constitute a full contractual year?

  • This lineup is so absurd I had to come out of hibernation to join the fun

Grandal has averaged a 5.0 fWAR the last 5 seasons. Only White Sox fans would b**** about his acquisition 2 and 1/2 games into his White Sox career after a long layoff.

Collins blown away by 91 mph fastball.

I just can't grasp the line of thinking of putting your worst hitter 4th and 2nd worst 5th in the line up

Collins with the definition of a slider speed bat there...I mean, this guy is essentially their sixth starter/swing man and throws harder than Josh Tomlin but he's nothing special by any stretch of the imagination.

I can’t seem to get over Nicky batting 4th.  It’s inexcusable.

You would've rather had Robert hitting there with 2 on and 2 out, huh?

Yup, this isn't some new development and having Adam Engel, Leury Garcia, Nicky Delmonico as starting corner outfielders was incredibly predictable.

None of those guys were expected to be starting outfielders though - they were all bench guys and Nomar and Jimenez being out is pushing the issue. I'd also say Leury isn't bad and Engel for what he is, isn't bad. I still believe in this teams upside - they just need to be able to see through this and not get too backed up - there issue will be if they dig a hole and it buries them psychologically.  With a limited summer camp too - it just impacts everything (rust, etc).

Horrible approach

Sox hitters getting blown away with 91 mph fastballs.

10 pitch inning, 3 strikeouts

1 pitch from an immaculate inning. Nice job fellas.

The point is they were expected to be starting outfielders, because it would be foolish to assume that all 3 of Eloy/Robert/Mazara stay healthy given their track records

Have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of early career Mike Cameron impressions out of Lu-Bob this year...

Robert too

So they tell you how this guy strikes hardly anyone out and gets fewer swings and misses than almost anyone, and he strikes out the side. All swinging.

For fucks sake, side struck out by a guy who is not a k pitcher.  This is getting pathetic.

That's a lot swing and miss from a very average pitcher.

How on earth are they getting dominated by Plutko and his 92 mph fastball?

Yeah, he made them look bad.

Where could you not see the Whitesox having to use these guys as starters for any given length of time? Mazara is always banged up, Eloy well he was hurt 2-3 times last year with avoidable injuries?

I missed some of the first game, but I haven’t seen them throw an inside pitch to a righty hitter all game.  Make a freaking adjustment.

Getting close to jumping on the COVID bandwagon to cancel this season.

Sox really need to get back to that exhibition game mojo

I may be crazy, but it just feels like we have no advanced scouting and it’s felt that way for years.

At this point, we might have a chance against who's ever left on the Marlins...we might

And Robert barely played at all until last year.
