January 18, 20215 yr Giolito, Keuchel, Lynn, Cease, Kopech, Lopez, Stiever, and Lambert is decent depth. And they’re still going to add another proven starter as well as a spring training invite or two to a vet. They can always trade for a starter in July if needed as well. That’s pretty decent depth, but definitely that one additional starter.

I think he would be by default, but it sounds like they’d like to move him to the bullpen which is yet another reason we need another starter.
