I said it in another thread, but I’d love including Kole Calhoun in a potential deal to help offset some of the prospect cost.  He’s obviously a total wild card but would provide some depth at both RF & DH.  Given how bad Eaton has been and Yermin & Vaughn’s struggles against RHP, another lefty power bat in the mix would be ideal.

Why do we continue to give publicity to this bum? 

Also, total guess, but feels like Konner Pilkington would be involved in an Escobar deal.  He’s advanced enough to be semi-interesting to the D-Backs, but not part of the immediate depth chart of the Sox.

Because rumors are always worth discussing and if he’s wrong we can ridicule him last last trade deadline.  But there is a lot of smoke out there of our potential interest in him.

Remember not to minimize the La Russa connection with the DBacks, even with Mike Hazen's "physical departure," due to his wife's health issues.

Sure why not  ? Make him part of Team Hamstring . But it all depend on what JR is willing to do. Still need a backend RH relief pitcher and 2 of those would be good too. Or 1 and a long guy .

We should trade the strength and conditioning coach.

I liked him the first time he was on the Sox.  He really did well once traded to the Twins.

That would be a shame...it seemed like RH used that in about 85% of his trades....definitely the smaller ones
