It is really just inexcusable for a bullpen to give up a 4 run lead in 2 innings late.

  • Not sure but I assume you'll find something wrong with it

  • Just imagine bringing in Marshall to face a righty when they have an OPS near 1.000 off him.

Tony has left the dugout to yell at Yermin. Not once to have his player’s back.

Feyerheisen likes to walk dudes, maybe let him this inning.

Shoulda just left Bummer in honestly. Marshall just can't get righties out.

Them suckin ass doesn’t excuse TLR making a stupid switch. Bummer looked fine at that point. At the very least make sure the switch is your closer

I have no clue why Tony pulled Bummer. He got three groundballs, one of them found a hole and one was botched.

This dude has walked 20 in 31 innings. Watch the sox swing wildly

Leaving that 8th run at 3rd is killer now

Well, we are trying to beat the "best team" in baseball without Yoan, Eloy, Robert, Kopech and Madrigal.

This.  Inexcusable to have Marshall in vs a righty in that spot.

Do we go to Hendriks in the 9th in a tie game or save him for a save situation that doesn't exist

Correct. Both can be true. Bummer and Marshall need to be better (Bummer wasn't that bad) but putting Marshall in that spot is on TLR, and it's not arm-chair QB'ing when everyone said it was the wrong call before he took the mound.

That’s how you frame, Collins

They did last night and just scored 7 runs without them. Evan Marshall sucks. It is what it is.

It's a tough call, let LaRussa think on it some more.

I will be shocked if the Sox score against this bullpen.

Imagine if the Sox had the Cubs bullpen. Wow.

Fixing the bullpen has to be priority #1

As I have said all along.

Also, we do need bullpen help, up 7-3 and the BP just shit the bed.

And it played out exactly how the numbers indicated. He gave up a hit to the righty and got the lefty out.

surely my buddy chitown castrated Mendick for his error as he would have Madrigal, right?!?

This AAA lineup gives you a 4 run lead and you can’t get 9 outs. Legit pitiful from Huere Bummer and Marshall

Hendriks warming up.  Those 6 or so extra pitches would have been killers

Cubs bullpen outside of Tepera and Kimbrel is gonna crumble as the season goes on.

They're going to lose.  Bullpen blows and offense checked out 3 innings ago. This is completely bullshit!
