So glad Tony took out Vaughn instead of Leury. Get the benefit of his clutch hitting.

  • Can we discuss how bad moncada has been lately. I'm sorry but fuck some of these bullshit made up WAR numbers. My great 3rd baseman is batting. 267  8 home runs 44 rbi After 1

"RH better be on the phone right now. that bottom 7-9 is gross." Just get the 2nd baseman. When Robert comes back, and when Yaz comes back, and we get a 2nd baseman:  out-of-the line-u

Letting Hamilton bat over Collins or Goodwin there was a very obvious mistake

His offspeed stuff is on point

Dang!

I have to wonder what Hendricks is like in the clubhouse after a BS. To be a fly on that wall

What a gutpunch of a performance, feels like an L depending on who is coming in in the bottom half

Something's gotta give for this offense. It's just so bad.

The problem is we've been bad against bad pitching. The schedule revs up real fast again.

The top 3 in the order are having a road trip from hell

Hamilton, Leury, Mendick, Seby....what an amazing run of hitters.

Collins and Goodwin were right there and neither have a .248 OBP like Billy

Ryan Burr throwing = game over

It's gonna be Burr for the 10th. If we don't score you can bet they're walking it off.

Just makes no sense, and he did that really dumb thing again where he pulled one of the outfielders for Hamilton and instead of putting Engel in RF he put him in LF.

Take Vaughn bat out of the game, keep your worst defensive outfielder in right field instead of left and Leury hits again. lol

Burr coming in, 8.5 games ahead after tonight

Engel, Goodwin, Hamilton, Garcia, etc.

Leury has a 90 wRC+ this year and has averaged an 89 since 2017.  The other three guys have combined for roughly the same amount of plate appearances as Andrew Vaugh, so doubtful they’d be able to inflate our team wRC+ all that much anyways.  Regardless, Goodwin is at 106 this year vs. a career 102, while Hamilton is at 72 vs. a career 67.  Engel has greatly out-produced his career numbers, but it’s been 79 PA’s.  Basically, you just make stuff to fuel your pessimism.

Blowing a lead and potentially blowing the third series in a row, the 2nd against one of the worst teams in the league and Cleveland winning as icing on the cake.

Fuck this offense right now. Holy fucking shit.

It’s seems like this road trip has been going on forever.

It's only been 6 games.

Honestly, the Twins series felt like this too. They either lose or they make us sweat for several innings while the offense dicks around with their thumbs up their asses for several innings, only to do just enough to squeak out a win.

Alright, here’s where Goodwin wins the second base competition

I'd almost rather have Mendick hit here...

Goodwin or Collins - slim pickens for options.

Yep...might as well bunt if that is going to be his approach!

Agree a bunt would have been better.  Our “stars” in this game TA, Abreu, and Moncada have been a bust a bust in this game.  Taking our best hitter currently Vaughn out may have cost us this game.  Hamilton hitting in Vaughn spot is a major downgrade.

Wait…Rick Hahn is here???

Worst case scenario is up 5 after Sunday.  Just can't get swept this weekend.
