Man the amount of energy people are wasting on being hurt about what the announcers were saying is surprising even for Soxtalk.

That's not a strike

Here we go Jose hit it into the Crawford Boxes.

Wow what a horrible call.

just a couple of inches outside...

NOT A STRIKE

If ump is calling that slider for a strike all day, we're in trouble

That first pitch strike call to Abreu better be called both ways today.

Lynn better get that same zone

As t least they’re making him work.

Jose battling

Jose making him work

lotta good pitches to hit for Jose, way late.

Abreu made him work a bit at least

Made him throw almost 20 pitches. Not the worst start against a guy who we typically struggle against. That slider is nasty.

Got to get into the bullpen ASAP, keep making him work.

I agree for the most part, but you can see how awkward it is when game plans are too aggressive in changing players. By that I mean the Yankees who tried to get out in front of expected strike throwing and ended up getting a bunch of quick outs as they are a patient team.

But, there is a balance there. Yaz, Yoan, Sheets need to bring some patience.

TA also needs more patience.  He just swung at a slider 6 inches off the plate to Strikeout.

17 pitches isn’t bad.

Abreu with a great AB

It's breaking ball theatre with this fuckin guy.

You sure? Whenever someone makes a good pitch on here it's our fault somehow.

Gonna be a long day for the righties

Need to lay off the offspeed stuff...I know it is easier said than done.

You need to understand how that looks from his perspective. It breaks fast and late.

Good pitches yes, but the one Timmy struck out on should have been easier to take

3 outs and 17 pitches is a great sign. Next inning sheets connects

Teams hit .150 against the McCullers slider FWIW.
