Imagine being a manager and knowing you have 5 fresh relievers and 1 who hasn't been successful on back to back and pitched yesterday and say to yourself, let's go get the former in the biggest moment

We can still win this series. We just have to score more runs than Houston and you can take that to the bank

  • Let’s GO! Lots of pressure on Houston. They need to win one of the next three if they want to force a game 5.

If Hahn goes but JR and KW are still here then how is that better at all?  At best things are the same, at worst it's even worse.  At least Hahn can negotiate a contract.

Until Jerry is gone, either literally or steps down like he did with the Bulls, nothing will ever change. If he's here another decade, Hahn gets at least one more rebuild. Unfortunately, teams don't give up prospects as they did when he sold off every solid player inherited from Kenny.

God I feel like I have to hold my breath whenever a ball is put in play.

Team needs to relax, they look like they are in a complete panic in the field

Relax? They need to f**king wake up and start to do the basics.

Well Giolito made the pitches he needed to!

Every fuckin time the Astros come up to hit it's an emotional adventure. I'd like that shit to stop like right now please thank you!

I'm done with him. This is his exam, he's failing. In fact he didn't even bother to show up for it. Team isn't ready to play, team looks like dogshit. Maybe it's the players not the manager tho seeing how we saw the same collapse, same bad body language, same slop last year.

I said it at the end of the season.  This is why he was brought here.  So far, it's not looking great.

Nice job from Gio but the rest of the team looks overwhelmed from the spotlight

This is basically a carbon copy of the first series in Houston so far. Need a break out inning to take some of the nerves out. Let's have some good at-bats this inning.

Bottom of the order needs to do something here other than K 4 times again

Honestly, I think I'm most pissed off because La Russa was supposed to be some soothsayer that had this team prepped for October.

That's not what's going on.

To be fair, he can't catch for Grandal or hit for the hitters.

But whatever field TLR's surplus value is supposed to exist inside of, I haven't seen it all year.  His comments on Yermin compared to Ozzie showed he's a better player's manager than Ozzie (so is like every other guy who has ever managed in the bigs except for like Bevington) but other than that, I fail to see an area where TLR gives us an advantage.

yup. I don't care about being wrong, this is fucking brutal, not ready to play, IT'S THE ONLY REASON HE WAS HIRED.

He was hired to right a perceived wrong by the oyxengeran owner who doesn't care about anything but what makes him happy at the time.

So we have pitchers not backing up the base.  We have OF blowing through cutoffs and we have a 2nd baseman who cant catch a throw from Eloy on a double.  Yup that shitty defense surely flipped a switch and is now great.

For the record, I have no issue with Engel throwing all the way home. That ball was slowly hit and sure seemed like Brantley could score.

Great job Lucas!!

LFG!!! WAKE UP THE BATS

And this is what people don’t get about why they should have gone for HFA more. The energy from the crowd helps a lot of these Sox players.

So what you are saying is the Sox should have no problem with game 3 or game 4.

Someone needs to step up this god damn inning and knock the fuckin ball out of the yard.  Turn this shit around.

Way to nut up, Gio, two 1st pitch outs, time for the bats to get back into this game!

Anyone else cover their eyes before Eloy caught it

Hey guys, let’s worry about who the fall guys should be if/when we lose?  Until then, let’s pretend that we have a team capable of winning a World Series despite being down a massive run in game two of the ALDS.

Good start Eloy

This team looks really rested. Maybe a little too relaxed. Time to flip the switch!

Eloy leadoff single

Attaboy Eloy
