You know he is going to he a near full time player,  playing nearly all positions on the field to rest the others.

We are going to hear so much grinderball bs about Leury this year. I love him as a reserve, too, and as a clubhouse guy. He is just not quite a starter, especially on a squad that is supposed to be elite.

I can't see it unless someone has a significant injury. I think they like him to move around and give others a break.

There was a report last week that the players and owners were still chatting about that rule and it was still possible as something that could come back, but never a full report of an agreed framework.

The thing that gets me the most is guaranteeing three years ro Leury. One year with an option is the absolute maximum he would have gotten on the market.

I'd say it seems incredibly likely he gets one of those spots and we see how things go to open the year.
