Change up works a lot better when ahead in the count.

You absolutely have to throw first pitch strikes to this lineup. They crush you when they get ahead in the count.

Well that lead didn’t last very long

Balls tend to fly a long way, when you throw fastballs down the middle to good hitters.

A decent 1st baseman makes that play. Abreu has no range or quickness.

 

Why throw a fastball out over the plate? Is this team full of idiots?

Think it might be a bad idea throwing middle middle fastballs to Stanton

Cease really doesn't have a good feel for his breaking pitches today and it's really hurting him. This Yankees team can hit fastballs. 

Playoff Cease

Cease struggles against plus .500 teams 

Must be nice to have good power hitters in your lineup.

Velasquez is gonna get destroyed tomorrow if this is how the Yankees are gonna hit. 

Any little bit of managing might help.  No need to pitch to Stanton either time.
